We 100% land him

I don’t get it. I’m not sure how they distanced themselves from Michigan and PSU. They all suck, but somehow OSU became this national brand with the ability to pull the very best athletes from South Florida. That part of the country is very unremarkable.
“Unremarkable” is such an understatement

They do have just an absolute insanely huge alumni base and they are the richest program in America. People always assume Texas but OSU is always at the top of the list

We’re really missing a player like him at WR.
He makes plays that bail out his QB on poor throws all the time and takes simple stuff to the house. Gorge is supposed to be that guy for us, but he is hurt. I think it has caused him to be much less consistent as well. Brown was the back up plan and he has just been ok. Ryan Williams literally saved the day for Bama on a ridiculous play. If we had a true game breaker somewhere on the offense that had to be accounted for outside of X I don't think teams would be as willing to load the box the way they do to stop the run. They don't fear our wideouts as a threat to house simple plays.

If we had a guy that could scoot from any spot on the field this offense would be fully unlocked.

Watching him is equal parts excruciating and enjoyable. Can't help but marvel at his talent but oh my god shoot me in the face.

If Smith had signed with UM, I would put the odds of UM playing in the semifinals this year at 85%, even with our defensive warts. We would absolutely have been competitive for a National title this year as all teams look like they have some vulnerability.

IMO he was leading on UM fans same as Cormani McClain did. He had no intention of picking Miami after Ohio State dropped a massive bag and he was just building up drama. I simply don’t believe that Smith would have picked UM if Ward had transferred earlier. He knew Ward was deciding on the NFL or Miami. Smith re-affirmed his commitment to Ohio State in December and shut things down. He had all the way until Feb if he actually had some desire to play for UM and stay close to home. ****, he could have set the date of Jan 15 as his final decision date, and he would have found out that Ward was picking UM before then (Ward announced his decision on 13 Jan). I think UM likely exceeded Ohio State’s NIL (we knew how important a player he is) but Smith wasn’t interested, and nothing was going to change his mind.

JG is like 90 pounds he cannot be that guy lol, RW is different different gears elite shiftyness. No one on the squad has that and for a UM team thats not a UM team. We need dudes like that pause. If we had JS I would say natty for sure
