I’d use $1.25m of the NIL budget next year for him. We have a lot of good young lineman so won’t need as much there and we’re not ready going to have to overpay there. I have to imagine there will be so much excitement after this year the budget will be even better.

If he really had any desire to play for UM and his decision hinged on Ward, he easily could have waited til NSD in Feb to commit. All it would do is drive up his NIL asking price so he would get richer and end up with whichever team he wanted. IMO He wasnt going to sign with UM, Ward or not.
