Mario really out here making these schools work, he really built a fence and it’s no longer free to come down to south Florida and take recruits without working your *** off

I hadn't even seen THAT headline, I only referenced the headlines within the actual article.

But, yeah, that one makes it seem like Chris Smith JUUUUUUST gave JJ this advice yesterday ("with Signing Day 24 hours away").

He's behaving like a salty little passive-aggressive drama queen.

I haven't even been aware of his existence until the past week, but he is going after me for (presumably) my ownership of him in past debates.

I'm fine with people having their own opinions. And @jnf2257 is entitled to his wrong opinions just as anyone would be. But I'm not going to stand idly by while he gaslights us by mansplaining how accurate and fair Brandon Marcello's article was.

I never said the article was accurate. I said the quotes were from october and the article very clearly says that. Like couldn't be more clear. In the article. But like always you have to twist words to spread some narrative because your **** shrivels up with sensitivity.

It's all good in the end, man, you did the admirable thing and clarified your original post.

I was just disappointed in the Miami fans who IMMEDIATELY waved the white flag.

I didn't realize UM had so many fans in France.
 
The problem is that if Miami somehow lands the #1 player in the nation coming off a 7-5 season where they were a JOKE for a whole MONTH after the kneeling fiasco and end up landing a top-3 class, what then does that mean for all these sites?

What if Miami wins 9-10 games next year and they start becoming a consistent 10-12 win program with all these kids flocking to play for Miami?

All their fans say that our program is trash and MID. But Miami being back although great for college football TV revenue, is a DANGER to these little sites that make a living off the dopes in Michigan, Alabama, OSU, and Georgia. Those fan bases have so much more subscribers and it's not fun when little old Miami is taking and flipping all your recruits. It's a direct affront to their business. They need to ENSURE these places stay cash cows with big time blue chippers flocking their way.

As I've made clear, I'm not "so sensitive" to a "******* 247 story", I'm commenting on the "effect on listener" (or reader). You should study the Federal Rules of Evidence related to hearsay.

And I am concerned that a "Miami fan" is so motivated to tell us about how NOT misleading the article and headlines are. You could just humble-brag that YOU were not misled, and then move on. But, noooooo, you are trying to act like you single-handedly cracked the code and are trying to help everyone else see how innocent and misunderstood Brandon Marcello is.

You completely ignore context. Nobody said the quotes were "exact" or "inexact". Everyone has said that the quotes are OLD and may not be reflective of the current mindset of recruit and father. You choose NOT to respond to the point I made about how Marcello told us "nothing has changed". Meaning, in spite of the "disclosure" that the quotes are old, YOU SHOULD STILL BELIEVE THE QUOTES ARE CURRENT AND RELEVANT.

If you want to build your post count by white-knighting for Brandon Marcello and Ohio Taint, that is your choice.

Nobody said the quotes were old until I posted about it. Everyone was actually overreacting to it until I pointed it out. I'm not trying to make it seem like I saved everyone. Just pointing out you saying "Everyone has said that the quotes are OLD" is not true.

You know what man I'll actually agree with you. Marcello's injection of his own opinion is misleading. I never said it wasn't. I've only spoken about the quotes that were from October.

But yes, you are sensitive to a 247 story. You always are. This isn't new.

It's2023. NOBODY READS THE ******* STORY. 247 knows this and they know a narrative is created by just passing along thinly veiled tweets and headlines.
