Hook line sinker? I’m already battered and friedExactly. And we had people here biting hook , line and sinker
Bro it's called NEWS.It’s not the reporter’s fault idiots don’t read the story when it’s clearly spelled out for them.
BookmarkedIf Miami lands Smith I will buy everyone 2 rounds at Titanic in the fall
For example:
Here is the 247 headline and graphic on X. Right in bold letters , look a that quote from dad that they chose to showcase and now tell me there is no agenda here:
Well hello thereIf Miami lands Smith I will buy everyone 2 rounds at Titanic in the fall
I don't understand this criticism of Hartline. Yea, it may be easier to get elite players to meet their potential than development players. The point is he has been excelling at getting players of Smith's caliber to the NFL; which is the ultimate goal. Many other schools, like Miami, can't say the same. And Beards development of a bunch of 3* WR is far more impressive than Hartline taking a 5* WR and doing what with him? Getting him to play like a 5*?
It is absolutely intentionally deceptive and intended to have the exact effect on readers we saw play out right here. Don't make excuses for this sleaze.
sure and they intentionally omit that part.He does say, do what makes you happy. Dad could be saying don’t chase the potential NFL bag at Ohio state annd be miserable over playing with your friends and being genuinely happy at Miami because the NIL stuff is going to work itself out.
Need more fathersPlease.... just a crumb...
Guy is facepalming everything I post, especially when he is being a *****.Yeah, jnf is straight bull****ting. Trying to gaslight us into thinking that THIS Taint article was fair-and-balanced and not-at-all-motivated-by-deception.
First off, here is the headline/subheadline:
Everybody's after Jeremiah Smith, but what does the nation's No. 1 recruit want?
Schools are "throwing all types of money" at 2024 receiver Jeremiah Smith, in his words. The Smiths, though, say they don't care about that. With a Signing Day decision 24 hours away, what does Smith really want? And what does that say about Ohio State or the in-state Florida powers pursuing him?
Quite honestly, this is an IMMEDIATE attempt to deceive, that sets the reader's mind in the CURRENT time period, which overwhelms the EVENTUAL whispered truth of "oh, these quotes are from October". Look at the verbs. They are CURRENT tense. What does JJ "want" (now)? Schools "are" throwing money at JJ (now). The Smiths "say" things (now). Oh, and with the SD decision 24 HOURS A WAY, what does JJ "really want" (now)? There is NOTHING in the headlines that even vaguely hints that you are about to be clobbered by recycled quotes from two months ago.
Then Brandon Marcello goes on a FIFTEEN PARAGRAPH digression, where he waxes poetic about JJ's work ethic and tight *** (that was just a test to see who is reading carefully) before finally reiterating the question in the headlines, about what JJ "really really wants".
And then there is the dead giveaway that, no matter what @jnf2257 falsely tries to claim, the entire article is INTENDED as deception. Because RIGHT BEFORE you are fed old quotes, HE TELLS YOU THAT "NOT MUCH HAS CHANGED". Literally, Brandon Marcello is telling us that the October quotes are still applicable, because "not much has changed". And then Brandon Marcello pulls the reverse psychology trick A SECOND TIME, by sandwiching his "possibility of a late flip" with yet another (old) pro-Taint quote. It's like jnf has never heard of negging.
But, yeah, we should all be grateful to @jnf2257 for saving us all from falling for that not-at-all-intended-to-be-deceptive, wonderfully objective Brandon Marcello article. It was so even-handed, in that it very briefly was honest enough to mention that some quotes were given in October.
Whatever.
The bold portion of the first paragraph is everything you need to know. Propaganda for OSU.Yeah, jnf is straight bull****ting. Trying to gaslight us into thinking that THIS Taint article was fair-and-balanced and not-at-all-motivated-by-deception.

Lol. Math is math. If you have brought in 40 blue chips over the last 10 years and only put 8 of them in the league that’s 20%. Either your evals suck or you aren’t developing that talent. This narrative has been proven false but idc lol keep repeating it, everything helps at this point
