Guilty as charged. I'm certainly a mope when it comes to JJ, but hopeful enough that I can't stop clicking this thread. By all accounts it's not a foregone conclusion he ain't coming - but every time I read an interview of his the goalposts move further away. With Innis it seemed like he just needed one reason to stay, with JJ it seems like he just needs one reason to leave.

For the record I think we’re on the outside looking in too, but it’s incredibly bizarre to just post over and over again to “not get fooled” (how are you being fooled? Are you sending money to JJ smith?). If you don’t think he’s coming, that’s fine. But who and what are you saving by continually posting he’s not? Just don’t click on the thread and be happy if he signs here, I guess.

Not sure how this plays out but I do respect JS for how he’s gone about his recruitment. He never trolled anyone and was decisive in committing to OSU.

He’s left the door cracked for us and given us a chance the whole way.

While I think he does like the idea of playing for us, I think he has too much internal pressure from either coaches or family telling him to go play for the school that’s a sure thing in OSU. I don’t see him ending up at FSU unless their QB who they’re starting today lights it up and leads them into the playoffs/natty.

I listened to Navarro's podcast today - his guest was that guy from Canes County , Frank Tucker. They talked alot about the local kids/ His take on JJ is that he really does like FSU. His family, Mom in particular, likes Miami. He doesn't think he signs with OSU. He believes the key to Smith may ultimately be CJ Bailey. They talked about Bailey a bit. Tucker said that he believes Bailey really wants to stay home. But Miami was very late offering and NC State believed in him from the beginning. Tucker does think if Miami can convince him the offer was for him, and not to try and get clout with Smith, he believes Bailey will flip close to signing day. IF this happens, he says he thinks Miami has the best shot of getting Smith at the last minute. He believes it will be hard for SMith to leave while all his boys are together at Miami. He said the SFE people believe he will flip to FSU
That comment about the mother tells you he doesn’t have any intel on this. His father is leading the recruitment and nobody else.

he also didnt want to play with TVD but not having a QB in place by signing day is an issue.

If that's the case then OSU is out, right? Or at least it wouldn't instill confidence if I was a OSU. If you were that committed to somewhere and have been committed for this long you'd just sign on ESD, no?
OSU should be concerned. I am struggling to accept he would go to FSU but I am in denial. FSU smoke is real. No idea what happens.

If you have heart medicine, keep it handy. Just in case.
