Totally agree 😂. I lived the first part of my life in The Florida Keys and the later part of my life in North Florida and honestly once you cross the Gainesville line it really doesn’t feel like you’re in Florida anymore. In Tallahassee, you don’t really “fit in” unless you got a jacked up truck with a rifle and a fishing pole in the back. You also long for the days of palm trees, but all you see are pine trees as far as the eye can see. North Florida is really just South Georgia…it’s more apropos.

I was born in homestead but lived all my life near Tampa. My buddy also from homestead, he was stationed at Eglin AFB, excited to be back in Florida. Na, that **** was not what he expected lol he’s Cuban and was like this is Alabama lol

Smith stays with OSU - sucks. Not acceptable. Gotta eventually win a battle for our top high school receivers. Been the story for 15 years now but we seem to be closing down that gap.

Norvell coming down here and taking Williams last year and now, possibly Smith - The best WR down here in years……

IDK man..... so hard to get a read on him. Commits to OSU, flirts with us, secret visit gets leaked, re-affirms commitment says he 1000% never come back, ends up coming back through the season, takes an official to GT of all games, rumor he and pop dipped before game ended, then starts popping up with FSU and UF, last visit would appear to be FSU, makes his twitter private, starts pumping out some pro miami stuff with the Scott news. This is also why I love recruiting and follow it but has Cribby commented in here recently?

I know he wont blow up a kid's spot ever but he has been consistent saying it is us and OSU and seems like FSU just puts out a bunch of ish (Zaquan, Jojo etc)

Cribby hasn’t commented.

The FSU interview he gave definitely had him a bit nervous when talking about OSU. Reading his body language and tone in his voice, there was deception/lying going on. I could tell, as a former investigator, that his intentions/nervous mannerisms that he was uncomfortable and not being truthful.

Now I don’t which way this shakes out. Hoping that less Miami noise means we are doing things behind the scenes. I think the fan reaction and adult reaction at OSU with the Scott flip probably sealed him not going to OSU. Just my guess.

It feels like FSU leads and hoping Miami swoops in at the end and shocks us all and tears of joy flow.

10/4 well hopefully if it has changed and FSU was a real threat Cribs would tell us lol and with Hartline with his rumored problems or possibly moving on as a coach elsewhere makes me think it wont be OSU as well just too much weird smoke overall.

Also I found it weird we didnt hear about a single SEC school involved with him? when is the last time a #1 overall recruit from So.Fl did not have Bama or UGA or A&M or Ole Miss (now with Lane) or even Auburn involved? Like it seems like it is only OSU and the FL 3. Also unsure about the NIL deals with so many people saying FSU's are more fluid. And I get FSU has the ranking and wins behind them this season but they lose a ton and have no QB ready for next year. I think for Miami to swoop in we need a nice NIL plus a portal QB to commit before signing day and hope for a signing day shocker. This kids phone will be ringing as he is sitting at the table much like Pickens years ago.

I listened to Navarro's podcast today - his guest was that guy from Canes County , Frank Tucker. They talked alot about the local kids/ His take on JJ is that he really does like FSU. His family, Mom in particular, likes Miami. He doesn't think he signs with OSU. He believes the key to Smith may ultimately be CJ Bailey. They talked about Bailey a bit. Tucker said that he believes Bailey really wants to stay home. But Miami was very late offering and NC State believed in him from the beginning. Tucker does think if Miami can convince him the offer was for him, and not to try and get clout with Smith, he believes Bailey will flip close to signing day. IF this happens, he says he thinks Miami has the best shot of getting Smith at the last minute. He believes it will be hard for SMith to leave while all his boys are together at Miami. He said the SFE people believe he will flip to FSU

Ay man I wouldn’t lose sleep assuming our DL recruiting keeps on getting these dogs this cycle. It wouldn’t bother me as much as it did in the past.
