25,000?!?! Jesus that’s a waste of money in my eyes. The games the game, but grown folk out here investing $75,000 just for a kid to visit the school they work for or went to twice. That’s more than some dudes first signing bonus in the NFL.

Borderline idiotic.
The frustrations with a system should be placed on that system's weaknesses, rather than on individuals who operate within that system and take advantage of those inefficiencies.

Had a kid who was rumored to us last year for quite a while we won't say why he didn't end up here. But he was rumored to us, five star and was offered quite the bag. His parents heard the numbers and simply rushed into this is where we're going. Long and the short of it he didn't get his paperwork don. So far they've gave him $25,000 out of a big number. They're telling him he's only going to be able to get based upon performance which is as an illegal as **** but it's what happens when you go to SEC schools. Now his mom's and him won't stop calling me asking for help either with his school he's at or with us. Happens way more often than people think.
[Deleted by Maude’s. There’s a reason the name was left out of it].

If it was [Deleted by Maude’s] it wouldn't be me telling you this. Someone else on here far more into his situation. I'm not gonna tell y'all any names. It's on y'all if you gonna choose to guess or not. It was just an example of how slimy this stuff is and how easily people get caught up if they ain't doing it right. Even with bags you better dot your I & cross your t...

@RVACane I apologize for the derailment yall. Feel free to take my comment down if it'll get this back on track.

So how would you say we rank vs all the other schools (on a scale of 1-10) in terms of size of bag, and security of the bag (like the kids can trust we distribute what we offer)?

Seems like we are opting for the smaller bag but guaranteeing we'll deliver on our promises. Which over time is going to be the more successful route. If you gotta 50+ guys on the team all saying they got what they were promised every year thatll help.

7 far as size of the bag. There's definitely some PROMISING bigger bags. Only one delivering them from what I've heard. We've been very transparent with this. Our thing is if youre honest with us we'll be honest with you. We've had two issues and it was due to games being played that had nothing to do with us. The numbers reported for us are far more often than not a complete lie but it's never numbers we release. They usually release that themselves to see if they can get a bidding war going. All I think of more often than not is of jeru the damaja. Ya playing yaself

Btw this will start biting schools who are lying to the recruits. If kids are disgruntled they will tell future recruits what happened

It's always happened. This ain't nothing new. Kids play just as dirty games as schools. They just get called on it while schools don't. Y'all been told forever this is a dirty business. But people wanna see something genuine in it. It's like falling in love with a Chinese lady boy in Thailand... There's levels to this ****. We've lost multiple commits throughout the years to kids playing dirty games when we refused to do the same. At the end of the day GREED will always win out.

I think there will be a difference though simply because people will openly talk about NIL now. And of course its gonna vary from situation to situation

Im just deleting the names being thrown out because it’s apparent to me that this place collectively can’t play along as needed regarding not throwing names out. If I delete your post too, it’s only to put the board’s collective lack of sense to an end.

I been told you hermano, there's a reason we can't discuss much freely on here. People can't simply keep stuff on the board and discuss amongst ourselves. They run to social media & it turns into a **** show. Then people get mad at us cause we have to be vague about things... Irony in that one ain't it.

I think perhaps the only "new" part is before if you got promised an illegal bag and if the school skipped out on you, its not like you could go sue. That be like a drug dealer only selling you 1/2 of the drugs you purchased, cant run to the cops and claim an issue.

However now with NIL, I would imagine if your sign a contract for X and they pay you for Y then the player has some redress and it can be talked about more openly in a public forum.

Efficient? Nah. Much more volatile environment. What nil created is a chance for all schools to be heard. I'll give it that. But it's a very different level from one to the next. You see what we doin but our blueprint for nil is VERY different from what most schools can pitch. Us, usc, Stanford, vandy & northwestern are really the only schools out there who can move independent of a LARGE PORTION of their community on board. Really helps when you have MULTIPLE billionaires all on the same page. We're actually finally starting to chip away at the local opportunities for nil finally. That's why you're seeing several collectives pop up for us. Our alumni base is very different from most universities where not an overwhelming number of us are locals. But our marketing machine is real. Starting to see that take effect.
I wouldn't confuse volatility with inefficiency.

but on your other points, I get it.
