JC JACKSON!

Corn is over rated. Corn is solid but he is not this shut down corner people are making him out to be. He was targeted more than burns or howard last year.

There is nothing special about him. Most of the plays he made came from playing the nickel. When he was outside he was just not as good and that is a concern.

The honey badger played only nickel at lsu because he just wasn't as good outside. We need corners badly and richt and the staff knows it as well.

Sounds like the consensus that we can all agree on is to get JC here and clear up a few bets for us!

Yes, we all agree to get JC.

As for the bets, a lot of bets were made but those that offered the bets aren't so willing to standby them. Their bets don't reflect their confidence. lol

I haven't changed my bet at all. It's you who keeps trying to change it. You should probably take a break for a little while Paranos. Running multiple accounts can be tiring.

Keep my name out of your mouth. Let alone invoking it when your getting called out on some Bull **** post you made.

Sincerely,

Paranos

How many more times are you going to say he's overrated ?

We get it.

Terrell Buckley was 5'10 175. He got beat a few times but made big plays for FSU and MIA. This will be Corn in this new defense that plays to his strengths.

NFL draft: 1992 / Round: 1 / Pick: 5

Buckley is the only player with 50+ interceptions to never make a pro bowl. Buckley set what remains a current record as the youngest player to return a punt for a touchdown in NFL history (21 years, 105 days). In 1996, he led the league in interception return yards with 164.

He had at least one interception in 13 consecutive seasons.

Buckley was a two-year starter and three-year letterman at Florida State (1989–91), and left as the school's all-time leader in interceptions (21) and interception return yards (501).[1] His career interception yardage total of 501 is an NCAA record also tied school records for touchdowns off interception returns (four) and punt returns (three).

Thats a helluva comparison. Nice work. T-Buck was the truth at FSU. No doubting that. He had a mean streak though and had hella swag. Corn needs to find that "dawg" somehow in order to take that next step. He has the tools.

****, I think we just found Corn Elder's floor. WE BACK.

Yo, when you watch Corns highlights keep in mind that he played all three corner positions in a bad defensive scheme. He played at such a high level that he had this type of impact on the games. Just imagine what he is going to do in the new system that fits his skill set. If the old coaches knew how to best use the talent on last years team both Corn and Burns would have been similar to the Dolphins Patrick Surtain and T-Buck back in the day. They would have shutdown a lot of teams.

I read one post where someone said "well he's not a shutdown corner". They said the same thing about T-Buck. But you knew if they keep throwing his way one of them sh***s going back for six. Awl be damned if that aint what Corn is doing in a bad system.

Corn will be a beast in the new defense just watch.

Not sure why this has turned into a thread about Elder. Whether Jackson is better or worse than Corn is irrelevant. The bottom line is we are thin at the CB position and could definitely use him next year.

/insert whatever random clapping gif

I wish reason and logic had more of a place on this board.

Corn is a very solid football player. He could play in the SEC and I could see NFL in his future...my analysis as a fan

Redwine IMO is overrated by this board...that's the kind of kid who in other years belongs at a Louisville or West Virginia when things are right with Miami...or in the old days anyway. He was a plan C all along I believe and wasn't offered until late after other misses.

Our depth at CB is very scary. It's Corn and then a lot of question marks

I don't know about this

Keep scouting DTs for no reason DBC.

And what bull**** did I post? I posted that JC is a better prospect than Redwine and would start Day 1 here. It's Paranoses alter CB scouting ego who keeps trying to change the bet.

Funny thing is he's using Mathieu as an example of the player Corn is, but it's only telling everyone that he's really good. Mathieu was a beast at LSU, and Is currently a beast in the league. So not exactly sure what he's trying to say, especially when teams have to run nickel-dime formations more and more.

Lmao at competing Corn to Buckley. Buckley was a 4.3 guy with ultra quicks. Probably the best CB in college football at his time
