UM offered in 2017. He visited unofficially in 2017, 2018, and again this weekend. Kid was committed to OU from April 2018 until about a month ago. And we're still about 11.5 months away from 2020 signing day.

The reality is he's a Deerfield Beach kid and that in and of itself made our chances slim.

How is this hard to understand? The entire staff recruiting him previously is gone. He's hearing from us now, but as I said, too little too late.

You came on hear the other day and basically bashed the staff for not recruiting broward players particularly deerfield kids you know that's a lie. Half of deerfield staff are street agents that recruit these kids to deerfield and shop them to colleges. If we get a top prospect from deerfield in the next 2 years that kid just really wanted to be a cane.

There was no way for this staff to have an established relationship with Knighton.

He committed to Oklahoma in April of last year & decommited from them just a month ago.

His lead school has been Clemson from the jump, he's just not interested in Miami.

Our priority should be Holmes or Parrish, Knighton was a 0% chance, but I like that Hickson, Field & Manny will still shoot their shot.

As far as DFB there's some good 2021 & 22 prospects we should offer, **** they have 4 D1 WR's on their squad for the 2020 class plus QB Derohn King (from Piper), if we plan on opening that pipeline we should work on those future prospects.

But if they have no talent, why even bother? I mean when was the last Elite kid who came out of the public schools in Broward? Now I do agree about coming by and checking in but the public schools in Broward barely have had kids worth recruiting the last 3 years. They either end up at Deerfield or Dillard or they end up at one of the many private schools in Broward.

Miami recruited Jerey Jeudy, Rosendo Louis & Ge'Mon Eaford & all of them rejected Miami.

You keep pushing this dumbass idea that Miami only wanted STA kids, that's NOT true.

You don't remember when we recruited 5 kids from AH heavy & they still ****ted on us? Or when Bogle lead us on all year long only to pick UF? Or when we tried to land Asante Samuel & he chose FSU over us? Or when Kevin Austin picked Notre Dame over us? Or when Xavier Williams & Daniel Wright picked Bama over us? Or when Davoan Hawkins picked Kentucky over us? Or when James Houston & Marco Wilson picked UF over us?

Miami recruited a lot STA players because they have 2 former Canes on staff & it was one of the only schools in Broward that still sent players to Miami. And I'm not even trying to defend STA because I feel like they get overhyped too much on here as is, but it just so happens we got a great McArthur kid in Avery Huff who transferred to STA & we're after another McArthur kid in Jerrold Pough.

I agree that we need to recruit DFB, Dillard, Ely, Coco Creek, Boyd & a bunch of others schools in Broward for talent, but to keep saying Miami is anti-Broward is just stupid.
