To an extent maybe you can call him a missed evaluation. Because a kid's mind is just a big apart of the evaluation as his talent. Jaden Wayne's issue isn't whether or not he can play football. It's now that he's a millionaire as a kid does he still feel the desire to play football at that same level he showed previous to getting paid. His problem without question facts is his work ethic is trash he does not put in the work that he was at IMG and I know this for facts because I've seen it myself what he's doing now is very different from what he did before he got that money.
It’s going to be very interesting in 5/10 years from now when a lot of these kids blow through all of their money and don’t have their “NFL pedigree” to market themselves for another decent paying job.

Nobody is going to give a flying **** that you were a 5* recruit especially if you never registered a stat because you lost the drive to play because you were given a stupid amount of money of of HS.

This kid is one of many cases that show NIL should be pay for play and incentive based. It would also allow for talent to be spread out across more teams, if your deal is cut in half if you only play X amount of snaps. When the law is passed and schools get that big share, more kids will go to schools where they can play early and get paid.

This is rampant right now across CFB. Lots of buyers remorse at programs and some big names too.

What I don't understand is how these kids keep posting with offers and uniforms and the artwork EVERY…SINGLE…TIME they re-enter the portal.

I mean give em a pass for the first time experience when they are 16-17 yrs whatever, but you got these kids going thru the cycle and all the IG/Twitter, etc…Every year over and over again?

Just seems childish and corny to me, especially at 20-21 yrs old going to your 2nd-3rd team.
I feel the same way. Once you’re 20 years old, that should be the end of it imo. Especially if you left a p4 school already. They did it about 50 times as a hs recruit already. Like the Bear Alexander kid, I think he was still doing photo shoots. This is the 3rd school he transferred from

It's impossible to predict what a kids mindset is gonna be once you hand him and his people this kind of money. I don't envy either side. Most important thing in evals now is his support system. What kind of people is his family and who he surrounds himself with

If you look back at the top 100 247 composite rankings of the last few years, the JAG rate is HIGH. Some years the ratio of busts to even just average starters is laughable. It’s really difficult to evaluate high school players, I’m sure it’s not going to get any easier in this new environment. A lot of buyer’s remorse for sure.

So we saying that Jayden Wayne has made 7 figures???? For real??? A HS recruit that hasn't done squat in college? He wasn't even a high 4 star? Not doubting you dog, just wilddddd

I have no idea the actual vercity of this, but my co-worker's daughter is a high level volleyball player. Junior in High School. One of her teammates is a senior and being recruited by Minnesota and supposedly (this is what she told my friends daughter) has a 6 figure NIL offer. For womens volleyball. If that is true, the amount of money being thrown at college sports is insane.

You forget he was a five-star on certain sites for a while in time. On top of that he was an IMG kid. Img is always going to make sure their kids are very well taken care of.

People don't realize how much money is out there in this stuff. Football is almost to the point it competes with basketball now. Which is crazy for the people that really understand basketball recruiting and how corrupt that is. But there's a lot of money being thrown at college sports. It's corporate now. That's what people aren't understanding here. Schools are selling portions of their revenue basically to the highest bidders in order to get the right NIL backings. It's why when I told yall years ago about the UAE and the Saudis backing programs, now you're physically seeing it. For a private investor to come in and invest 20 30 40 50 million dollars they're obviously expecting significant returns on their money. Most of them are getting 4 to 5x it's a win-win for everybody except the futures of some of these kids that mentally aren't prepared for this...

It's why I laugh at some of y'all's comments about our NIL money drying up. Yall got no idea the kind of money that's really behind the university. The collective is doing a great job, but don't for a second believe that's where the majority of the money is coming from.

I'm also curious to see the bust rate (pause) on these highly rated kids. How are you supposed to develop as a player when you're in a new system every year?

Just know, every donor base at every school has a niche they are interested in. Some of these schools might have a wealthy former Volleyball Player or Rower or whatever that wants to get certain players and there is the money for the player...helps with the women's sports a ton, as you are aware.
