The optics of all of this matters. At the end of all this…Ohio State had 5 five stars, Bama has 4, Usc has five. Miami has one five star. Mario did good but not as good as the big boys. It’s all manipulated bllsht. I’m not being exact with the numbers but anyone with a brain gets what I’m saying.

David Lake, or maybe the other 247 guy who covers national recruiting, explained that because 5* players are expected to be 1st rounders, they do take the college into account. Since Miami doesn’t put as many first rounders out as other schools nowadays, they might add/drop stars accordingly.

I don't remember Jaelan Phillips losing his ranking when he committed to UCLA. Not exactly a place that produces alot of 1st rounders. Oh and speaking of Phillips, Miami just produced two first round DEs in the 2021 draft. So how exactly does it make sense to drop a kid who plays that position? Conspiracy theories aside, if they want to stop taking heat for their ranking manipulations at least come up with something better than that bullshyt.

completely absurd logic. miami hasn't had as many 5*s as uga, Bama or Clemson.

That's laughable. The ONLY player in their entire database they just.. forgot to add On3's rankings to was Wayne? They entered in every other player and didn't notice a gap in the spreadsheet next to one of their 5* players. Yeah that checks out. I hate conspiracy theories but this is a bit hard to hear without thinking there's something fishy about it..

You make a **** good point though. They can remember to add On3 when it suits them just to manipulate it whichever way they want. This won't be the last time something like this happens. Maybe not to us, but it'll hurt/help somebody else when they want it to.

It’s about to flip. Give Mario a year to develop the OL coming in. Those three star guys will be bumping up to 4 stars when committing to the U

Nah Rashada was a 4 star early June. Ray ray was never close. And it’s been said 100 times Francis is a 4 star cause they’ve only given out four 5 stars for 247s ranking so far. He didn’t drop
