I was under the impression today was the last day. And if he’d submitted 24-48 hours ago SC would’ve leaked it . Maybe not though. A lot of people around Cfb thought he’d enter.

Doubt high profile wrs like branch and thomas would consider us without some semblance of a plan at QB. Maiava is better than what we have but hope for someone better. I’ll take what we can get

Hence, Mendoza then was the back up plan to Mateer.

Mateer did you a solid by committing right away and not dragging things which then you should’ve automatically pivoted to Mendoza.

Instead, they asked him to wait longer and he said, **** that and **** you!

The way this program is being run is a **** show!

I personally would’ve pivoted to Mensah on day #1 because the Wazzu OC and QB coach were already in place at Oklahoma.

But those hints weren’t smacking Mario hard enough in the face and we are forced to take whatever is left and just @TakeitinDiaz

There's two years of film of Mendoza starting against P5/P4, so that might take a while.

He was "a decent FG kicker" away from going 9-3 or 10-2 this year in OUR conference. With CAL talent.

But you want people to break down two seasons starting against P5/P4 teams to prove to you that the kid can do the job?

He's not Cam Ward. Nobody is Cam Ward. But Mendoza can handle himself and win a LOT more games with more talent around him than what he had at Cal.

I remember it, it was after we had put all the eggs in the Cam basket for QB1 and he declared for draft. Literally any qb with a pulse we were a candidate for. Not really a bad take by him that we’d be one to watch for this kid.

Better than Emory and we have to do something....but doesn't really move my needle. I was hoping for much better. Odd throwing motion and makes a few head scratching throws every game. Seems to panic at times in the pocket as well. If they are throwing good money at this kid, i just don't see the ROI. I would have preferred several other QBs already committed elsewhere.

Better than Mendoza, Milroe, Mensah and all the other M's out there.

I would prefer Mendoza as a bridge to Nickel since he's a steady, experienced QB who would only be here to hold down the position for a year vs. Maiavea who has a higher ceiling than Mendoza but is very much a work in progress that needs a LOT of development to clean up his game

the flag football IM QB is better than emory right now
