We do stunt far too often, so it doesn't catch the offense off guard. It also opens up easy run lanes.I agree, which is why I asked the question.. DLine plays with no fundamentals. Have no counter moves. Dont use their hands to get off blocks. Don't even anchor all that well.. .. Our "good players" only have 1 rush move.
Everyone saying we stunt too much. Well, we don't stunt every play, and when we do, they don't succeed.. yet, seemingly every team that stunts against us, they usually get to Cam untouched
Worse though is how bad we execute the stunts at times. When the edge guy has to sit and wait for the DT to cross his face, it's counterproductive bc a straight rush allows him to get upfield faster. The need to execute better and mix up the stunts...sometimes allowing the DE to crash quicky with the DT, like Mesidor who's athletic, to loop around. And instead of stunting, use some slants with backside crashing by the Backer or Nickel. This D is so predictable that i call it out to my buddy pre-snap.
