At what point do we start to question Jason Taylor as a coach? Never seen a unit do less with more.. D-Line has been bad all season (except for Barrow) and seemingly geting worse by the week.. Baron, Bain, Messidor, etc all look to be regressing.. Just way too much physical talent on this unit to be this bad ..
Is it coaching or are these players too mentally "limited" to take to coaching?

They don't get much time with how quickly opposing teams get the ball out (as designed).

But I agree somewhat they've been underwhelming.

When you DC calls for looping stunts, has the DEnds jump inside when the opposing team is determined to get to the outside. the D-Line is gonna look like shiiii t
This is the only response….

The stunting and looping is playing into offenses hands…. Idk how their not seeing it on film they’ve been running this style offense on us for at least the past 3 weeks

I said the same thing in the Gameday thread. The Dline does not use their hands well, body positioning, gap integrity, etc and just try to bullrush or shoot gaps. That's why they get gashed for big runs or can't product pressure on a consistent basis. They don't have counters to primary moves. Taylor was a great player but is not a proven coach, so i was cautiously optimistic hoping he was the next great coach. Only those in the building can say for sure where the development question lies.

Stunting and looping work when used sparingly. You use these to beat opponents when you are undermanned. Something that when at Marshall, you face a lot. This ain’t Marshall.

I want to blame LG but this has been happening for over a month now. Mario, you’re the HEAD coach. Act like it.

I want to say we still having everything in front of us. The problem: we have no proof that Mario will fix the problem.

I just started a thread about Bain specifically. Is he 100 percent from his injury? He doesn’t have the same juice as last year - but he still looks powerful - wonder if he should move inside.

And yes, quit stunting. That might have been a gimmick he had success with at G5 level with p4 players, but it’s not playing against p4 teams at all.

Was wondering the same thing? How healthy are Bain in Messidor?

I can agree with this too… Mario is an Oline coach he has to see that offenses are allowing the Dline to **** themsekvew out of position and run right by him

Grab your nuts and tell LG to ******* kill it with stunts… you ain’t catching anyone off guard

I agree, which is why I asked the question.. DLine plays with no fundamentals. Have no counter moves. Dont use their hands to get off blocks. Don't even anchor all that well.. .. Our "good players" only have 1 rush move.
Everyone saying we stunt too much. Well, we don't stunt every play, and when we do, they don't succeed.. yet, seemingly every team that stunts against us, they usually get to Cam untouched

This is it right here. We stunt all the time. There is not a single time in the game where we don’t run a stunt. We are G-Unit: Stunt 101

No one on the team plays with high IQ, proper tackling technique, or with an understanding of what the offense wants to accomplish in certain situation.

This has long been coming. A team that wants to bleed the clock, stay in front of the chains, and limit Miami on explosive plays.

How the coaches didn't set a game plan for that is beyond me. This is simply not a game you should ever lose, but yet they did, because they didn't game plan in a way that set them up for success.

Taylor hasn't had players develop to a place I'm overwhelmed by, but he isn't calling all the games up front, either.
