McDermott's been decent this year at LT. He maybe has 1 or 2 plays a game where he baffles you, but other than that, he's been decent. St. Louis has been quiet at RT this year - which is good for a lineman.

I'm curious as to how you think St. Louis hasn't been good this year.

He's been okay. He struggled to generate any power in the run game. He's inconsistent with his technique. He does a pretty decent job getting to the 2nd level. He's inconsistent in pass pro. He has the body, length, and quickness to play LT but he hasn't shown enough consistency to say we move him to LT next year and we don't have to worry about it. Love to see him add another 10 pounds of muscle in the off season to give him a stronger base and power. I'm not saying the dude has been bad, I just wouldn't call him good either

PFF uses their own system for grading players and it doesn't always pass the eye test, especially with OL. If you have Twitter check out lineman like Big Duke, Georg Swartz?, Lecharles Bentley, Brandon Thorne? People who watch film and help train OL and see their thoughts on PFF lineman grades. I mean look at the pass blocking and run blocking of the OL and general and ask yourself is anybody top 3 of anything on the line?

PFF has given opposing Oline men high grades this year a few times, and then upon hurricane visions film review we see them getting worked over.

PFF just looks at end of game stats. If you’re a lineman and hold Chad on every play but never get called you’ll have a high good axe. If you’re a DB covering Ahmmon and he gets 10 targets but only 2 are catchqble, you’ll get credit for 1 catch on 10 targets. Very misleading .

It's almost as if you haven't watched the games this year. Donaldson has shown flashes this year and will be great, but he has struggled for long stretches, as expected for a frosh. Kc has been our best O-lineman this year.
