Jamarcus Chatman

Allen Bailey grew from linebacker to defensive tackle while in college. Freak athlete - nothing like Chatnan.

Then who else is comparable? He’s not McDougle or Green, definitely not Olivier, and not Matt Walters. That leaves Andrew Williams and I don’t think he plays like him either.

He’s a lot more similar to RJ McIntosh than Allen Bailey.

No he’s not. RJ has an elite first step and wins with speed while Chatman uses strength and leverage.

That doesn’t change the point of my post.

Yes it does. Both have a completely different skill set from one another.

And Chatman is still more similar to McIntosh than allen bailey. Horrific comparison.

Why does he have to be like anyone? Maybe there isn't an answer to the question and we haven't had anyone like him. I mean, that is an option...

Bailey was an absolute freak and can play all those spots effectively. Yeah just because Chatman "can play" inside and outside, I don't compare him to Bailey. I don't think he would be nearly as effective outside. I think his length, or lackof would get ate up by OT's. But inside, along with his getoff and ability to shoot gaps, that's where he will make his money as a penetrating 3T in this system.

All my opinion of course. I just don't think Bailey is it, lol. I can't think of ANYONE we have had honestly that compares. The last 6'1 265 pound 3T we signed that played both inside and outside in HS? It has been a while, but I'm not going to force a comparison on him.

They’re ALL horrific comparisons but you’re judging a high school on how he looks physically instead of how he plays. You compare high schoolers of skill sets, not physically because they’re not fully developed. Hence why I said “I don’t care how he was physically”. They are both guys who can play inside and outside naturally utilizing power and have great athleticism. Olivier is a speed guy and from what I remember Mcdougle and Green couldn’t play inside naturally and Walters/Williams/RJ couldn’t play outside naturally. I’m sure there’s somebody from the 80’s/90’s but again I’m 22 and wouldn’t know.

I think you’re right about him being 6’1. I was under the impression that this kid was at least 6’2 but I checked Coburn’s pic and he doesn’t look any bigger than Keondre Coburn height wise next to Patke who supposedly is 6 foot. Yea, you can’t compare this kid to anyone really.

You realize he’s going to be at minimum a 3rd round pick right? And that’s if he tests horribly.

Just hope it's not Marvin Davis, a converted FB into DT.

If this kid is only 6'1" then I'm beginning to wonder if he'll be big enough to hold up.

Unless he looks like a goliath and a modern day gladiator no one should compare anyone to Allen Bailey. Biggest man I've ever seen

How this kid is a 3 star is beyond me. Looks like a stud on film. Elite quickness, speed, and block shedding

Gotta land Chatman and Briggs

Have we ever had someone go on the podcast that went elsewhere? Randy Russell did, but he was a commit when he came on. Me likes
