im not in love with his speed but i agree he looks better on film.Hodges looks more athletic on film.
I would too if I was worried about being dropped.
What are Washington’s options?
Florida? No
FSU? No
Ohio St? No
Penn St? No
UGA, Bama, LSU, Auburn, A&M? No, No, No, No, No
If Miami part ways he will end up at Purdue or Indiana type school and he knows it.
If Miami can get Harrell and say Brian George or Javier Morton. They will drop Washington in a heartbeat.
Canes have 5 DB's on the roster with Bandy possibly a flight risk which I think would be a mistake. IMO, we need to sign at least two corners and ideally three.
The way coaches retweeted hodges does anybody think he got pushed?
I have speed concerns with Harrell but his size and length are legit. Freakish wingpan.
NebraskaWho is #GBR?
Man that is some HUGE differences. I do not feel so bad about Harrell's 4.9 40 now as it is probably in the upper 4.6sSaw this interesting comparison by stoutbeast on 247 site on the Harrell's often quoted 4.9 time at the National Combine and others from Florida who ran at the National Combine and their Regional camps/combines. HUGE difference in 40 times.
"I do not know what happened at that National combine unless they ran in combat boots but many skilled people I looked up ran terrible. As did the bigger men of O and D line. I used skilled position players from Florida that ran in the 40 at the National Combine and participated in Nike Regional Combines."
"Here are just a few of the really off times when compared to their regional combine times sometimes days or weeks apart. Throw out that National Combine time. A few of the guys I listed are sprinters on the track teams."

DUMBLol Harrell is no different than Hodges
Nebraska
No they will not, if they wanted to drop Washington they would have been dropped him. UM just lost 2 DB commits, so they will replace them wi th 2 more DB commits.I would too if I was worried about being dropped.

Besides looking at times, one could just look at the tape and Harrell does not look like a 4.9 kid on tape, he looks to more around high 4.6 which is fine for the safety position. If UM was recruiting him as a CB then I would be worried about his straight line speed.Saw this interesting comparison by stoutbeast on 247 site on the Harrell's often quoted 4.9 time at the National Combine and others from Florida who ran at the National Combine and their Regional camps/combines. Miami may need to go back to the JJ days and convert HS safeties that have the requisite frame into LBs. If their abilities translate to average DB, we need to actually evaluate them and project if their skills translate to LB. You can find these athletes in Florida. Obviously if they are a freak athlete they stay at DB. We need LBs that are very athletic in today's spread offense dominated college football. That means increasing the speed of our DBs as well. We are average to slow in the back seven aside from Bubba and Hall.
