Jake Garcia

that's the worst part is a lot of people forget some of these guys were actually high-rated recruits. They just had peaked in high school and/or our coaching staff was trash at any form of development. Half of these names were 4 star or better.

How about that QB from Arkansas? LMAO.

Remember that ****?

Once upon a time our QB Room was:

Stephen Morris
Ryan Williams
Gary Crow
Preston Dewey

A who’s who of 3* guys. Lol

I remember the board championing the So Fla Gawd, Ryan Williams, when he transferred over from Memphis, coming back home like he was The Fresh Prince of Coral Gables.

I remember when former top 5 HS QB Jake Heaps transferred here from KU, & we were supposed to have a real QB1 battle w/ “vet leadership” as Williams & Heaps were supposed to battle it out. Williams suffered a season ending injury, while Heaps, who was like 32 by the time he came here, was a heap of ****; so we had to start the green Brad Kaaya against UL to begin the season, as they pinned their ears back & beat the living **** out him.

Man oh man, ghostly times.

My life is pretty awesome. I have a lot to be grateful for.

I don't let newbie know-it-alls on message boards get under my skin like that. I do call them out for being a tool on occasion and you are the lucky winner today. You luimped Kirby Freeman and KW into the same "missed eval" lazy conclusion. I disagreed on KW and gave several reasons why. You came back with nothing more than a Cindy Brady-esque "I've got a secret! I've got a secret!" I asked you to spill the beans, then you just repeated "I've got a secret" a little louder while covering yourself up in a protective shroud of "i'm not airing teenage laundry" as you turned your nose in the air and began to levitate. That's why I place no merit in what you're saying and why I (correctly) called you a tool.

Do you thpeak with a lithp like Thindy Brady did too?

From what I recall @jps2344 was proven to have legit sources around the time that Rad/Cristobal were hired so I think he is zoned in

I guess he’s cooler than I am then. I’m not a fan of the I’ve got a secret, just trust me method of proof. Being right once does not equate to being right always. Also, wasn’t there almost 20 years between KW’s recruitment and the hiring of Rad/Cristobal? More than all that, I don’t really care enough. My life will carry on even if proven wrong on this topic.

Yeah I do agree that he could have probably added more on KW when he alluded to it but I'm just saying that I think he does know people around the program

Wright played most of the game. Got knocked out, and actually came back in for the 2 point conversion on one leg after Freeman got drilled on the touchdown pass to Epps. The first conversion of the drive to keep it going was to Sam Shields in triple coverage. The game could have easily ended there.
Wright did not play most of the game. He got knocked out midway thru the 2nd qtr. We were losing 17-14 at that point and Wright had us in field goal range. While Wright wasn't having a great game (he was responsible for a pick 6), he was nowhere as bad as Kirby was the rest of the game.

He doesn’t need me to come to his defense but He’s openly mentioned he played baseball at Miami, has family members that were student athletes at Miami, and his family has been involved with Miami for decades.

That was the moment we knew, for sure, that the program had entered desperation mode.

You’re right he doesn’t. He shared nothing with me of value, he simply sat levitating in the lotus position saying bad eval while I said you’re playing the result; hence my strong push back. It’s easy to say bad eval in hindsight. At the time, everyone wanted him. Now I’m simply repeating to you what you’ve already skimmed over.

I also look like Brad Pitt on the internet.

For me personally, debating a 15 year old issue that you and he were is kinda pointless. It’s way in the past and has absolutely no bearing on what’s happening with today”s team. I’ll never understand why some get into Dik (pun intended) measuring contests over long past issues that have absolutely no meaning or substance about anything other than making a vain attempt at being “right”.

I agree with everything you wrote. And to answer your long standing question, ego. I have one too.
Excellent pun.

Not false. He 100% would have transferred under today’s rules and structure. I said this was not the proper fit which impacted his performance. Both parties are responsible for that.

Somehow you’re associating eval solely with physical tools. If that were the sole barometer there’d be no diamonds in the rough and no misses.

The only specifics I’ve aired here involve staff and administration, specifically when it came to changes in the program. I stick to that as they are seasoned adults getting paid and deserve all the accolades and ridicule one can impart.

Read between the lines with what’s been mentioned about him and I’ll leave it at that. The staff missed, which is their fault, and it turned out a negative for the program and even worse for Wright. I believe he would have benefited greatly from staying farther West or going to a place where he wasn’t seen as the guy when he stepped on campus.
God I can’t believe I’m commenting on analysis 20 years later but here we go…

Enlighten me where at that time the #1 QB recruit wouldn’t be looked at as “the guy” the moment he stepped on campus? USC, UT?

Drank a couple times with Ryan’s father at Jersey Wings in Pembroke Pines.

I totally forgot about Heaps.
