Coaching Jahmile Addae gone

We are in a jam because of how bad he was as a DB coach recruiting lol we are just absolutely lucky that OJ is an absolute stud whose been able to step into a starting role day one

chevis has an important offseason to shore up that DB room… we’ve got OJ, Damari and Patterson right now and a bunch of unknowns. He can really put a feather in his hat if he can get Robby up to speed and balling in that slot position

Yes he was a garbage recruiter but he was at least a quality coach. I have never seen Miami secondary this bad, they make mediocre QBs look special and this didn’t start until Jackson was hired.

I’m not sure who he was responsible for but 247 gives him credit for

Damari Brown
Zaquan Patterson
OJ
Robert Stanford

Our DB play the last season two years was significantly better than this season and that’s with TVD turning the ball over left and right. The DB play this season outside of maybe OJ and Powell has been horrific, I mean these guys are making DJ Ivey look like a shutdown CB

he was here two years and you listed two starters… OJ out of necessity and Brown who was essentially the same last year.

The room was better because it had two better safety’s back there roaming around. I’m down on the group because it is so thin and we had to take flyers like hill this off-season just to beef up numbers

Zaquan will be a special player one day. So that’s 3 starting DBs with Brown and OJ

One day is correct he needed difference makers since year one and continued to fail to acquire players… insiders have said it loudly he was arrogant and didn’t like to recruit and it shows.

Either way he’s in the nfl for a reason to get away from recruiting.

Guys like Mirabel, Jason Taylor, Dnic, and beard have had no problem stocking their rooms with talent via HS or portal. He was way over paid

Brother, his recruiting was simply underwhelming when he was here. The corners he DID coach got torched my Middle Tenn St...or are we forgetting that? Last year people never got off Ivey's **** with how he looked at times. Richards was here last year and couldn't play over Ivey, so who do you think was better? Also, he got hired by an NFL team, which further solidifies the fact that he has conceded recruiting and just wants to coach ball. At the end of the day, Addae is a decent coach, but recruiting is wayyy too important for college.

He came here in 2022 and left at the end of the 23 season. He wasn’t here long enough to be the cause of this. The oldest his players would be are Sophomores. The DB room issues are mostly on the Manny Diaz regime and some on Addae, it’s not like he brought in nobody, he played part in bringing in Zaquan, Damari, OJ and Stafford. DB recruiting was struggling even before he got here

Mario pulled damari and Patterson. Dude literally almost made damari brown transfer that’s how *** he was. There’s multiple recruiting cycles in almost two years enough to the damage he brought to our room.

Our DB recruiting issues were here long before Addae. He’s just part of about a 15 year history of this program struggling to recruit and develop CBs. We haven’t had a killer DB recruiter since maybe Banda.
