Jaelen Strong to ASU

We were happy about a JUCO TE from the West coast. why not be disappointed about losing a WR

Because WR isn't a need like TE. And because skill position athletes, like WRs, in South Florida are a dime a dozen. Would much rather a 4 year kid than a JUCO who may or may not beat out our top 3 returning Wide outs.

My problem is posts like THESE.

It implies that our guys are better because they are from South Florida. When none of our returning Top 3 have been on an All-Conference Team, let alone ever put 1000 yards receiving in their CAREERS!!!! This dude threw up 1500 in a good JUCO league in Cali. But, how could he possibly compare to our dynamite receivers who were for all I know in the witness protection program the night we played FSU.

You're really ****ing up your sufficient and necessary conditions here. but regardless, kids from South Florida tend to be better. And it's very easy to find WR's in South Florida, which was DeadPoets point. And you're correct, chances are that he is not as good as Dorsett, Scott, Hurns, or Malcolm Lewis.

Explain to me why he's not as good as Dorsett, Scott, Hurns, and Lewis.

The funny thing is this, you haven't seen Stacy Coley do it at the next level. He's done it against average, if not bad competition, but you are certain that the day he walks on campus he would be the best WR on the roster, correct? All you have to go on is his highlight tape and his reputation in the scouting community. But the kid who just put up 1500 yards and 15 TD's, while having phenomenal measurables, that are tangible on tape, is more than likely not as good as the kids we currently have?

You're making baseless claims in an attempt to marginalize the kid not committing, by basically saying, "he isn't from south florida. Our guys or from South Florida, so they're better", even though none of them have ever put up more than HALF of the production this kid did, which is absolutely effing ridiculous.

The other thing is that I'm not even really ****ed about losing the kid. It's not the end of the world, but it doesn't make Strong any lesser of a prospect, and it CERTAINLY doesn't make our guys any better than they were when we were recruiting him. There's a reason that him and Coley were basically the only WR's getting serious attention, along with Marquez North somewhat.

In closing, you sound ridiculous, and sound like you don't know football, when you ascertain that our guys are better because they are from south florida. It's probably that attitude that has gotten us curb stomped the last few times we played K. state and went to play ND.

Relax with that bro.

What the **** are you even talking about? You just blacked out and your post makes no sense. You're getting all hot and bothered because I think in all likelihood a highly rated kid from South Florida is better than some JUCO that UM didn't even offer? Makes zero sense. And then you get upset because Coley hasn't "done it at the next level" but some JUCO actually has? Makes zero sense. And then you wonder why I think the chances are that our WR's who have proven to be competent BCS-level receivers are better? Makes zero sense and I hope I don't have to explain to you why that's an absurd statement, but I will if I have to.

If you could actually read my posts and not freak out next time, you'll see that in the past I've said that I don't think Coley would even contribute much as a freshman. Your post legitimately makes no sense. I just don't care much about a JUCO kid when we have plenty of proven players at the position and have a great chance to get a highly rated local kid. Focus next time and don't get emotional, because nothing you wrote has any basis in reality -- it's you getting upset, failing to understand necessary and sufficient conditions, and making all kinds of outrageous statements.

Sorry, I just don't really care about a JUCO WR when we have a bunch of proven, productive, and quality WR's coming back. Especially when we are in the market for a highly talented South Florida player, which has proven time and time again to be a recipe for success at the WR position. I've even said I think Strong is a beast -- but I'd much rather have Coley and I don't care about a JUCO WR.

Keep freaking out about production though at the JUCO level though. I'm not sure how long you've followed the Hurricanes but not many receivers at this school put up very impressive statistics -- and Dorsett is among the best in a single season here. Not long judging by your post about how we got "curb stomped" the "last few times" we played KSU. We didn't get "curb stomped" against KSU in 2011, but I'd expect nothing but exaggeration from you here on out judging by all the words you are putting in my mouth. Go back and read my original post in this thread, and find where I said half the **** you say I am saying.

You took all of that space...to say my post didn't make sense lmfao

Soooo...thanks for taking up all that space and giving me no reasons (route running, separation, speed, ball skills, etc.) as to why our receivers are better than Strong.

Good day to you sir.

LMAO at that pathetic post. That's just sad. What an awesome post; right on the money -- you've gone from complaining about a south florida "bias," to saying that Stacy Coley hasn't "done it on the next level" but a JUCO WR has, to saying that I think Coley is going to come in and dominate right away (even though I've said numerous times that he would not play much as a freshman here), to challenging me to explain why a JUCO WR that Miami didn't offer isn't as good as guys like Phillip Dorsett that have produced on the BCS level. And not only did you challenge me to do that, all I have to go on is this guy Strong's highlight tape -- and we know your thoughts on highlight tape: "All you have to go on is his highlight tape and his reputation in the scouting community."

Step away from the keyboard. You're emotional and nothing you say is focused or making sense.
