It's a loss but I'll gladly take Ermon Lane in 2014 as a outstanding consolation prize

More SF bias

Have you ever wondered why? Maybe it's because the kid from South Florida is better than the kid from wherever else 95 times out of 100.

Top 10 NFL Receivers 2012

1. Calvin Johnson - Newnan, GA
2. Brandon Marshall - Pittsburgh, PA
3. Andre Johnson - Miami, FL
4. Vincent Jackson - Colorado Springs, CO
5. AJ Green - Ridgeville, SC
6. Reggie Wayne - New Orleans, LA
7. Demaryius Thomas - Montrose, GA
8. Dez Bryant - Galveston, TX
9. Roddy White - James Island, SC
10. Wes Welker - Oklahoma City, OK

Geez, this south Florida wide receiver dominance sure isn't bearing itself out at the professional level. Surely it must be bearing itself out at the NCAA level.

Top 10 NCAA Receivers 2012

1. Terrance Williams, Baylor - Dallas, TX
2. Marqise Lee, USC - Inglewood, CA
3. Stedman Bailey, WVU - Miramar, FL
4. Quinton Patton, LaTech - La Vergne, TN
5. Austin Hill, Arizona - Corona, CA
6. Cobi Hamilton, Arkansas - Texarkana, TX
7. Devante Adams, Fresno St - Palo Alto, CA
8. Jordan Matthews, Vanderbilt - Madison, AL
9. Tavon Austin, WVU - Baltimore, MD
10. Cody Hoffman, BYU - Crescent City, CA

Don't see "95 times out of 100" at the NCAA level either. Or 5/10. Or even 2 out of 10. ****, Georgia has way more elite NFL receivers and California has way more elite college receivers.

U MUST BE A NOOB IF U CANT BELIEVE PEOPLE ACT THAT WAY

NOT ME I AM 42 AND BEEN FOLLOWING RECRUITING FOR OVER 25 YEARS

NOT EXPECTING A GUY LIKE STRONG TO LAND HERE AND THE AFTERMATH IS PAR FOR THE COURSE

@#(^$(W^(@@@_@&@^%%%@!)((*&&^@!%#&$@( There have been 8 WR's from South Florida selected in the last 4 NFL drafts. 2 WR's on average are picked who are from these 3 counties each year. Think any other area in the country comes this close? I imagine maybe the Houston area, but that's it. And my post didn't specifically mention WR's, but overall, so nice job completely missing the point.

Yeah, so if you're wondering why people have a "bias" for South Florida players, it's because they've proven time and time again to be really ******* good. And Stacey Coley is a monster. FWIW I think Strong is a beast and would love to have him here, but wondering why is there is a "South Florida bias" is because South Florida consistently produces great players who thrive at UM, and not just at WR, even though it clearly puts quite a few WR's into the NFL pipeline each year.
