Jaden Wilkerson, Takalyen Muex, Demetrius Campbell o linemen

Hope you’re right
He is not right. I am not looking to get into an argument about it, but I talked to a few recruits that have stood with him, and they told me his is about 6'1" and nothing more. And BTW, I am fine with his height as he plays like an animal and that's what is most important.

Javion Cohen went undrafted , now on a practice squad when he should have returned for another year

Cohen reportedly got badmouthed by Bama to NFL teams and it played a big part.

I mean I can see it since he was selected to play in the Senior Bowl and from all accounts had a good week. Yet he goes undrafted?

His tape is incredible, like 5 star level stuff but he looks small, and i thought maybe its the angle but i looked for a picture with our other recruits and im like yea he’s definitely closer to 6’1 than he is 6’3. Eventually we will see

in 2023 the year we got 2 5 star oline
according to 247 there were 5 tackles in the top 30 players
this year there are 6
according to rankings there are just as many if not more highly ranked Olinemen this year than 2023
so how is it a down year
it just sounds like an excuse to me

its very alarming that we cant use our best season in years to land top shelf recruits
we recruiting like FSU when they were winning this year
There’s a finite number in the NIL fund. What do you prioritize - a five star high school offensive lineman or a top level transfer quarterback. Not saying that this is definite, but it could be what has happened.

For the high school player they have to weigh development and wins versus guaranteed dollars.

I think a lot of people miss this concept:

There will always be a Top 30 each year, regardless of the talent level of previous or future classes. Just because a guy is a 5 star in 2025, it does not mean that the same player (assuming he was cloned or the like) would not necessarily be a 5 star in 2026 or 2024. It's relative to the field.

That said, the idea that it's copium to say that we're striking out with 5 stars isn't really accurate. We need a couple years to see the quality of the OL in this class. Also, let us not forget that the OL now has talent AND depth, meaning that odds are high you will ride the pine for 2 years once you arrive (as you should IMO for OL play - unless you're a freak like Francis).
Just like the NFL draft some years are better than others

Different players at different positions. But I get where you’re coming from.

Do you think Lee and Cohen are better than. Carpenter and Anez?

Also, what round because you never answered that part.

Dude has been average but will have a lot of snaps on his record. Teams will pay triple what we are willing to for him on the open market
I can't disagree that someone would overpay but that's basically everyone now adays

Just don't see him transferring

Muex is already out, anyone seen the the other 2 this year? Always curious how big bb players do transitioning to OL. Maybe 1 of these 2 will take root at the position and give the foundational play you need to see before signing

Cooper loves Miami and Mirabal

Cooper super close to them. I think it was the Cal game, during one of those long reviews, you could see Cooper and Mario chatting it up. They looked more like good friends then a coach-player relationship

There had been report earlier of an upgrade at one of these spots. How do these guys look (senior year). I know we have a ton of Oline experts on here are we happy with these three?
Jaden Wilkerson is a prime example of why senior seasons matter as his 11th-grade film and 12th-grade film are night and day. After transferring into Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater this winter, the Miamicommit has embraced the role of protecting the corner and done an admirable job of keeping his quarterback's jersey clean.

Wilkerson, who just turned 17 years old, is still very much a work in progress, but he can get low in his stance and climb up to the second level at just a hair under 6-foot-6, 330 pounds. Wilkerson, now a high three-star 87 on 247Sports, will need time to develop, but is starting to round into form. -- Ivins
