Jaden Rashada

That would somewhat make sense. They do not have a definite long term solution at QB.

Still would like to see him go to Miami to give Nickel and the others competition for the backup job.
I’d be shocked if he doesn’t go somewhere that he gets to play this year. I bet he goes to a G5 school, starts and portals again next year.

I know that he gets a lot of flack for so many moves, but to be fair it’s best to evaluate him as someone who started at Arizona State and was their starter, transferred to Georgia, then entered the portal when he fell to 4th in their depth chart.

The extras with Miami and UF should be ignored due to the unique situation that took place - a HS kid commits to a school and then gets an absurd, over the top financial offer from another school…and then two months later that school says they can’t pay after he burned his bridge. I think the vast majority of players would have taken the Gator’s bait. For instance, if we offered Jeremiah Smith $35M today, he’s a Cane tomorrow.

Ignore the drama and just focus on the good is quite the 🔥 take

I saw a YT video this week where a guy was going off on Rashada and it made me think of the whole timeline. Again, what college player DOESNT decommit and go to the rival when that rival gives him an offer that would make him the highest paid player in college football (at the time), and by a significant margin? Rashada took the offer, and then Florida screwed him. That’s why I’d say just throw that out of the timeline.

Start it with ASU and then evaluate. Thats probably the fairest take.

I would take Rashad’s if I was Mario no NIL no Scholly and let him work for it to boost my QB room. I don’t think he’s a bad kid he just got bad advice from his dopey dad. I thought cormani was a take as well. And if he’s a bad fit or culture killer kick his *** from the team. Don’t think it would be a bad take tbh

Take him for depth, or pound his wee in the dirt.

There is no in between. I wish him well on the gridiron if he ever suits up for us.

Otherwise...

That ship has long sailed away. Luke in 2025. Coleman in 2026. That's the future. I like Coleman. I don't see us able to keep both. The loser of the battle will likely transfer. The wildcard is Judd who everyone is overlooking.

Our QB room could quickly dissolve depending on who wins the backup job this year. The blessing in the Beck injury is that Emory, Judd, and Luke will battle it out this spring. All of them will get time with the 1's. If Luke wins the battle, Emory and Judd are likely gone only leaving 2 scholarship QBs. If Luke is QB2, does Coleman entertain other schools?

I want Coleman. He gives me Cam Ward vibes with his quick release and strong arm. He has a Bryce Young body, but could fill out next year as his father is tall.

Ideally, Emory as QB2 and Judd QB3. This keeps everyone in the fold for 2026.

I was being nice about JR, lol.

Deep down, I think we are going to hit the portal again next season. And I'm fine with that.

It's possible Luke emerges as QB2, gets some run this season, and is ready to lead us as QB1 in 2026. I just don't know how probable it is. Gonna have to see it, because we all know how tough it is to come in and ball out as a true freshman.

Mario gets paid millions to manage the roster, so I'll let him and the staff worry about attrition.

I do not think Luke's performance will impact the room as much as you think it may. But, that's just my opinion. I can definitely see Judd and or Emory leaving if they don't beat out Luke, though.

Lot's of time, so let's see how things shake out.

I just hope that both don’t leave.

I remember the dark days of 2009 when we just had Jacory and Spencer.
