Jacolby George's Downfield Blocking For Teammates

I think heā€™ll play next level. He has good hands, heā€™s a good runner with the ball, and he is probably the best punt returner on the roster.
This is where Iā€™m at. I actually think 8 years from now he signs his third contract for around 3-4 per year and everyone is shocked he is still in the league lol

A few of his penalties wonā€™t be penalties in the NFL (anfter the catch stuff) and u canā€™t teach his passion for the game and effort. Which are pluses at the next level

His play yesterday was actually a stroke of genius and something I donā€™t know I have ever seen. He basically pawed at the guys shoulder he was chasing and made the guy take himself out of the play by reacting to JG. He didnā€™t grab, he didnā€™t hold, he basically swatted the guys shoulder pads like a cat and the Wake guy took the bait lol

I think there will be more than a couple GMs who will give him a shot and heā€™ll make it on specials

Listen, I remember watching that game in person. I donā€™t need to be reminded of our swagger.

That particular play with George was not smart. Restrepo was crossing the goal line while Jacolby decided to block some dude in the back 10 yards behind the play. That was dumb.

Iā€™m a huge Jacolby George fan. He was my favorite receiver before X really started to turn it on last year. He has a habit of doing dumb ****. He needs to check that for the betterment of the team.

We are not the 1990 Hurricanes. That team would wipe their *** with this one. They earned the right to act the way they did in the 91 Cotton Bowl. Being a donkey in a too close for comfort ACC game is not the same thing my dude.

Let us all bow to the mistake free gentlemen who graces us with his presence.

I'm sure you've never done any stupid ****, or got caught up in the moment. Thus, why not bless us with your secret to a mistake free - all your great decisions - so we can all attain a move toward a higher plane of freedom you clearly have obtained.

It would be a big help to everyone here.

That's one high horse you straddle! What is it - eighteen and a half hands tall? How's the weather up there.

When I want a sermon - I get it from the preacher. You a real, ordained Sky-Pilot?

Your obvious inability to tolerate anything less than perfection would indicate otherwise.

I can tell you're a huge fan of his . . . the praise . . .

Yall acting like a bunch of little babies. Itā€™s called constructive criticism. He had an amazing game this last week. Best offensive player on the team in my opinion. His down field blocking was the MVP in the second half.

HOWEVER, DUDE STILL ****ED UP ON THE PLAY IM TALKING ABOUT.

Itā€™s honest and constructive criticism because I donā€™t want a play like that to cost us a game in the playoffs.

Come on.

I've seen hormone terrorized girls entering puberty - and their constant bitc***g and whining over nothing of note.

I've also seen our very own QB throw a few interceptions. But all the while - playing his *** off.

Now we have some guys also on the team - who ride the bench. They never make a mistake. I suppose those are the ones we should be most pleased with - if we take our standard to be the same as yours.

If someone is out there busting his *** and on occasion makes an error - or misses a key tackle - that's just life.

Not constructive criticism.

Blocking as a WR certainly will not go unnoticed by NFL scouts. Jacolby hasnā€™t been in the Mario doghouse this season so that speaks well to his cleaning up some of the ā€œoff the fieldā€ stuff as well - which is also music to NFL scouts ears.

I personally think Jacolby will have long and fruitful NFL career regardless of where heā€™s taken in the draft. And I strongly believe heā€™ll be taken in the draft.

Another case in point, interesting decision here, avoids the clip and sorta confuses the defender, dude was like who's tapping on my jersey and forgot about Lyle. Results in another 25 yards for Lyle and then he takes out a second defender.

Yes, he's good downfield. Still needs to learn how to rub on crossing routes.

I honestly donā€™t care enough to keep arguing my point. Again, I like Jacolby George. Iā€™m not going to keep posting about a bad play I think he made a month ago because somebody bumps my post after his best game of the year. I get it. You want to have a witty conversation about it after he has had a great month. You win. I dont care enough to keep tearing the young man down.

Issue for him is he doesn't return kicks. What kept Berrios and Osborn around with teams was doubling as a returner, it's helped Dallas' career. Even Homer has returned kicks.

He returned punts a few years ago but was probably a bit too much of a risk taker for our ā€œjust fair catch everythingā€ staff.

I appreciate his effort last game, and heā€™s gotten a lot better in his final year here overall - but heā€™s a horrible run blocker lol. I think you guys have recency bias here over a few plays, even though he still graded horribly in run blocking. Thereā€™s plenty of times he looks disinterested or gets blown up in the short passing game heā€™s not running a route / run plays.

Compare that to everyoneā€™s least favorite receiver here, Sam Brown (our best run blocking WR and one of the better ones in the country).

And still worse than a slot receiver (Restrepo).

He is, however, better than Horton.
