Serve as a cautionary tale? How retarded, what's the message gonna be if you're from south Florida don't go somewhere where you could possiblr get beat out by a better player? If Weis had stayed at UF Brissett in all likelihood would have started, Weis loved him. Even saying that he almost got the nod the first game in which Pease mentioned numerous times the only difference was the legs of Driskel, something they felt they'd need with a shaky oline.

yeah, i don't know if it's a message to never spurn the hometown school.
o'leary will be in the nfl, if he's good enough. he will get a chance and they will realize he played in an offense that didn't throw to the te much. if he's good, he'll be there.

Nah, O'Leary is gonna go to waste at FSU...in the years they DID have a decent QB, they didn't use him, and now he's gonna get 2 years of an overhyped James Winston
 
Brisswt had every opportunity to be the starter, he never took advantage of it... The only person to blame is himself... He made the right decision because he had a better chance of beating out Driskell than beating out Harris and Morris... To be fair if the kid stays at UF he still has an opportunity to beat out Driskeel next year... Lets not be homers in this case...

We may have had a small chance of getting him but I bet Al wouldn't have quit recruiting him or any of the Dwyer kids. I bet Al would have had those kids come on junior days and developed a relationship. My point is effort, we may have a small chance but Al wouldn't quit (a la Tracy Howard).

Brissett is from Palm Beach Dywer. Dwyer coach Jack Daniels was a walk on at UF and renowned for guiding his kids to UF.

Hot rumor up in Gville is Brissett is now a transfer candidate.
 
My point above is that coaches who push their kids away from home are often giving rotten advice. Say what you will about his performance up at UF, Miami wanted him badly and he would be the #2 guy behind Morris and probably have first shot at starting in 2014. If he was just determined to get away then that's fine, but the rumors were heavy that Daniels was pushing him solidly that direction when everyone knew he was destined for bench status.
