I mean who are you to decide who are "projects"? If Mario and Mirabal like them, I go with that.
Was Samson a "project" or a "stud"?
Some kids are great but don't get coached up in HS and need to get the next level to show what they are capable of doing.
Cooper and Carpenter would have been "projects" and not up to message board experts' standards, but I will take those two all day on my line.
If it takes 3 years to be just OK. Then it is a ******* project. Good talk!

"It was a great visit honestly. I've taken a lot of good visits this year and I've seen a lot of good games…This game is definitely up there as far as entertainment value. For how many fans they had in there, obviously Miami is a small school, so it's hard to fill up stadiums when you have a smalls student population, which I think is a good thing for universities, it was nice to see how loud they were for all four quarters. They were really passionate about it. It was overall really nice atmosphere to play in it felt like," Cantwell said.

Miami is vastly different than his home town of Nixa, Missouri, but the big city didn't scare off Cantwell. "It seems like a cool place to live. It doesn't really matter where you live because you can do anything for three years. You're going to have workouts at 5 a.m. and go all the way to studying at 9 p.m., but I do think that South Beach is a very nice place to live and I think it could be somewhere I could see myself living at at some point. It's a nice place."

Cantwell doesn't consider his recruitment to be in the early stages. He's working to get an idea of where he wants to play his college football and that's what makes these visits so important.
"I'm kind of in the back-half even though I'm just getting to know Miami. I've been talking with [Mario] Cristobal more and more throughout this year and it's been great to say the least to keep learning from him. He was an o-line coach himself, so he knows a lot about the position. He knows a lot about what to look from there and it's been progressing better and better," Cantwell said.

"Just keep coming back and keep being inquisitive about the program because he thinks that I can be a great player here. The general thing I heard–I probably heard it ten times throughout the day at the stadium–is that Francis is leaving in two years, Markel is leaving. They're going to need to fill those positions and there's going to be an opportunity to get on the field early."

Id also have him get Penei Sewells number to know what type of elite coaching he would get

This youngman is incredibly well spoken for a junior in high school. This would an great steal if Miami can pull him out of the Midwest/B10/SEC foot print. I don't know what his grades are but if ND or Stanford offers it's a wrap for him.

Go Canes

He said Mizzou is a “great” program?

…and he was repping them on his gloves?

Roh-roh.

As a said before he is Rosenhaus kid so he will not be taking a discount.
Which is exactly why I like out chances. If Drew is involved it will come down to that bag, and I like us to be right there w Mizzou.

Drew ain't giving out no discounts but he certainly wouldn't waste our time either.

I want to like our chances with NIL, but Midwestern kids are different man. I could see teams like Nebraska and Mizzou being the top destinations for him. Hope I’m wrong!
