He’s very cerebral, good interview
This is gonna be over within 48 hrs.
That would be a great way to end the spring game. This is gonna be over within 48 hrs.
hopefully for the good guys. Oregon seems like the prototypical bag school to go out and get the #1 guy, but we will seeThis is gonna be over within 48 hrs.
Mario might have to pay suck tax on certain positions. But OL shouldn’t be one. I’m firmly of the belief Mario gives any OL in CFB the best chance at getting drafted. Once Mauigoa gets drafted, he could have 1st round(probably T10) lineman drafted at the three different schools, in three different conferences. If a kid is willing to go to a different school over say 25k-35k a year, that’s a risk I wouldn’t take.Glad we have a chance.
I dont get to caught up in the whole "They gave him a blank check"
NIL is a few years old now...everyone knows everyone so I think if you want to land a recruit you are all in the same ballpark. If you are a bit more needy you spend a bit more or sweeten the pot.
But the one thing no matter what anyone tells me I truly think Oregon and probably 1-2 other schools can overpay, make promises (Like shoe deals) and no matter what you have to offer on the field it doesnt matter unless you have a very very well thought out young man and family who realize these NIL's arent life altering and they need to get better and be developed on and off the field. Texas probably in that same realm. OSU/UGA...maybe Bama still are probably the only three that can pay a bit less and still overcome the straight up money the other 2 give because of the winning and development.
If NIL was around back in our prime....we might have become an unstoppable monster for a long long time.
So all that rambling to say anytime we are up against TX/Oregon I dont get to worked up if we lose the battle. I bummed but just like you are taught growing up "There is always someone better" well thats true in the NIL game too unless you are that top 1% who really do have a borderline unlimited check book
This is a UM/UGA battle. Two factors lean Oregon here. Track aspect and Nike. His dad was a Nike athlete for **** near a decade. This was always gonna be a tough pull for Miami. We’ll see how it turns out.
May seem silly to some, but I really do think Addidas hurts us more than it helps us. Small factor here but something that I hope changes at some point. Nike is a superior brand and something I know I thought about during my own recruitment.
I want to believe again.
This is a UM/UGA battle.
They already folding lol
