It’s true, Akili Smith III going to Oregon, LaVar Arrington Jr going to Penn State, Eugene Wilson and others going to the gator… We struggle to land legacies in ways other programs don’t it seems.
We gotta stop with all the hypocritical **** around here though. Obviously with you it's not intentional & I take things too literally possibly. But look at your examples. Each of those people are the sons of legacies & they followed their fathers to those schools. When we were landing SONS of past players everyone here would complain about how they were wastes of scholarships and didn't deserve to be on these squads. Every last one of them was some complaint or another. The dudes fall are now complaining that are legacies and they end up elsewhere they aren't dudes who's fathers went here or even mothers in most cases(except Chad & them which was a whole other **** show and now Russell) they are related to people who played here. But should that take away from they have relatives elsewhere as well?

It's simple 3 star legacies choose to follow their parents footsteps, but often times they aren't impactful or are poor players who are even only high 3star BECAUSE of their name. But then our medium-high 4star or especially 5 star legacies, often show basically no desire to come here. That's the problem.

Who are the high 4 star or 5 star legacy players who's fathers played here that showed basically no desire to play here?

“He’s aiming to see half of them over his spring break in March.
Cantwell is planning to see Miami, Ohio State and Michigan the third week of March. He’ll get a chance to observe a spring practice while seeing more of each program and continuing to build on his relationships with those respective staffs.
This summer Cantwell plans on taking at least five official visits. Georgia and Oregon are the perceived favorites but Cantwell has never said that and remains stoked about each of his finalists.“

There was the DT Carter years ago that went to Cal? One of the Patchen kids.
(B-ball: Carey kid went to Duke)
There were a handful but I’m blanking.

This kids is at least 5 inches taller.

He's a giant. The question on guys like this is bend and health. Can he handle the attacking defenders in pass pro, especially shorter quick twitch guys? And will his knees, calves, ankles and feet hold all that weight, handle all that force over time? If he's got good bones and joints, watch out, could be something super special.

If Mario is 6'5", there's no way this kid is only 2.5" taller.
