2026 Jackson Cantwell 5* OT from Nixa, MO

That’s an encouraging update. The first thing he said he liked about Miami was the campus lifestyle. His mom said similar. That was my concern given the culture shift from his hometown.
is it not an issue that there is not many waffle houses in miami? Only one i know of is on the way to the keys around florida city.

Ohio States OL coach just left for the Arizona Cardinals

if there’s one coach in America that isn’t looking for a promotion it’s gotta be Alex Mirabal

Mom likes campus, I like campus too…there is nothing not to like. Kid probably laid eyes on all the peaches and said Good lord, I have died and gone to heaven ! These super whales are the ones we need to land, they make the class.

His Mom was one of my coaches at Mizzou. His dad is an absolute monster! Christian was 6’7 350 and a dancing bear in his prime. If he wasn’t a world class shot putter he would’ve been a NFL LT. His mom is also a massive athletic woman.

This kid has all world genes. Christian is a Mizzou guy. He trained at Mizzou throughout his professional career and Jaxon grew up around the Mizzou athletic facility.

Love the family. Awesome people, they are about their business and maximizing opportunities. Christian doesn’t f*** around. No games will be played in this recruitment. I think they’ll give Miami a look strictly because of respect for Mirabal and Cristobal but I can’t see him coming here.

Midwest will most likely win out here with house money on Mizzou.
Mizzou has shown they will be willing to be the highest bidder on the top local player coming out yearly. They won't be competitive for any other recruit, but they will not likely be outbid for Cantwell, especially if he is a legacy there. And if course legacy 5stars go to their parents school unless those parents school is Miami. Just the rule

It’s true, Akili Smith III going to Oregon, LaVar Arrington Jr going to Penn State, Eugene Wilson and others going to the gator… We struggle to land legacies in ways other programs don’t it seems.

Mizzou has real NIL advantages for instate players but in this recruitment all these schools are gonna bring the $$$. Heavy weight battle. Mario and Mirabal give Miami a chance. Gotta get his pops on campus
