Then you pay him! Why don’t we wanna pay a kid who changes the year in the return game
Resource allocation.

Doesn’t matter if he can’t go anywhere else where it’s stacked he can come here. You think uga uf and those schools don’t have comp? The schools he gets to choose will have comp and will recruit comp.I don't know. I've been saying no excuses on DB up until this point. But our CB room is looking top quality and deep for years to come. Meanwhile, we need to be throwing around a lot of money for a portal WR, DT and LB.
I think UF just spends a ton on DBs or something. They seem to always do well there at that spot. Either they get a recruit or the recruit falls into their laps on accident. PauseNo excuses. Simple reality.
The Gator wants some small measure of revenge for all we have taken from them. They will not be outspent. On this ONE recruit.
Well losing Rashada to them was a net positive... so I don't think this is comparable lol. Flowers going there would objectively suck. Want him here, and he could probably immediately be a Nickel 2 for us. I just don't think it works out given everything we've just added to the position group. Now if he were a safety? **** yes, imo we better match, but he's not. I think it won't be wrong to match to get him here, but it's not the smartest choice either...When he reclassified I stopped paying attention but allowing him to go to uf is Rashada all over again. Losing a guy to them here or there is just recruiting but losing those type of high value prospects to them, specifically, can & have had lingering effects for us.
Disagree. Hindsight 20/20 & all that but Rashada under Dawson may have worked out differently. Having that prospect on our roster probably helps in wr recruiting & gives us a possibly better option after Ward leaves(assuming he stuck around or we even went after Ward in that scenario in the 1st place).Well losing Rashada to them was a net positive... so I don't think this is comparable lol.
****…We need that juice & electricity that he brings in da return game…Not to mention if he picks a pass off…Resource allocation.
So be it.No excuses. Simple reality.

I get what you're saying. But we have 10 CBs -- OJF, Brown, Richard, Mack,, Lucas, O'Connor, Brantley, Karnley, Antoine, Ewald -- and are taking another 3-4 in the 2026 class. From what I'm reading, he's asking for CB1 NIL. Is he CB1 among this group?Doesn’t matter if he can’t go anywhere else where it’s stacked he can come here. I agree with this. McClain is supposedly having a great Spring, so that's something to watch for leading up to our game. But they've missed on several other spots, are more like Canes under Golden where some position groups are good, others are not. Maybe they're not allocating their budget and resources correctly?I think UF just spends a ton on DBs or something. They seem to always do well there at that spot. I mean Rashada currently has his thumb out on the side of the road, so...Disagree. Hindsight 20/20 & all that but Rashada under Dawson may have worked out differently. McClain having a good spring is like (random Miami jag stories having good springs) everyone is having a good spring until the games go live.I get what you're saying.
