Flew in from St.Louis specifically for this game as well, stood in the rain until after the Alma Mater, watched V-Tech celebrate with their fans in our stadium. You want to know the only thing that made me smile after the game.......the Celtics beat the Heat! I think I stand with this team pretty firmly if u ask me. The atmosphere and the fans that were in the stadium in my eyes were passionate die hard Cane fans, covered in Canes gear, dancing in the rain, making enough noise to make up for atleast 10 empty seats a piece. We had more energy than our players and coaches it seemed like. I had a great time outside of watching the product on the field, and I can't wait to come back, rain or shine. But like I was telling some guys around me, it's just unbelievable that this kind of play continues to plague us. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Some of our coaches are more insane than our fans.

1) **** the Celtics (sorry but u had it coming lol)
2) no more edm ,what the fox says, or any reggae ton at games. this isn't a club. idc what ppl like to hear. i don't want anymore corny **** playing through the sound system. play the old soundtrack at the OB. it ****ed me off till no end to see the students behind me dancing to the music while were getting our *** beat 42-24. take that **** to liv not to a football game.

We lose 2 games and everyone turns their back on the same guy theyve been praising the past 3 years. I live in Ohio and constantly hear what a joke of a fan base we have and I agree with it 100%. Nobody shows up to the games, everyone leaves at the first sign of trouble in the 4Q, and whenever we have a bad game everyone freaks out bc they think we should automatically kill every team. Yeah we played like sh*t....oh well, were 7-2 and we've come a long way under Al.this site sure does bring out the delusional idiots. Some of the crap I've read on here since last night is awful and downright dumb. I'm sticking with our team and coach for the long haul. Fvck all u fair weather fans.

Speaking as someone who flew in from northern California specifically for this game, then sat in a driving rain storm and was one of the 7 or 8 thousand fans who gave our D a standing ovation when we stopped Va Tech with a minute remaining in the game, I say go **** yourself to the OP.

I can only speak for myself here.

I agree with you! Rain or shine, top 10 rank or top 20, consecutive wins or consecutive losses, tens of thousands of empty seats and a nasty base of fans that craps all over their team with every loss, while endlessly bragging about a legacy brand. Its flat out odd. Just read an article where nick saban is concerned because a full very large house on weekends is half empty by the end of many games because their team scores big on many of their opponents early on. Saban's biggest concern? The effect on team moral and RECRUITING!! Thats right, recruiting!! What 5 star recruit wants to play college football in an empty stadium all year? Its not what dreams are made of, thats for sure.

i was at the game and sat in that **** show. I'm at every game and been to both in state away games. i do one out of state road game as well every year. the OP needs to shut the **** up and get his *** down here. u wonder why ppl don't show up? its bc of the pathetic display that team put on last night.

Hey man I'm as big of a fan as anybody else on here and I'm just as ****ed about these past few weeks as anyone but I just don't get how after a 2 game stretch Golden has gone from God to Lucifer to a lot of posters on here. People are over reacting! I'm not denying that we've f*cked up a lot this season and yeah, a lot of that falls on the staff. But everyone needs to calm the F down. GOLDEN himself throughout this season has repeatedly insisted we are still a long ways away from being where we need to. Too many chumps drank too much of the kool aid. Be patient

5 game stretch would be more accurate. I love Golden, not so fond of his coordinators or some of his philosophical choices when it comes to constantly allowing this vanilla play calling on both sides of the ball.

It's simple really. He's the CEO and he won't acknowledge he has a problem so he can correct his mistake.

There's a reason why many companies have policies prohibiting nepotism.

We've lost 2 out of 5 in the ACC and 1 out of 3 in the coastal division.
So 7 and 2 doesn't mean much and loyal fans should be upset that doesn't make them bad fans.
This last loss could define the season of hope. This is what fans live and die for.

GTFO. Why should we blindly praise Golden? He needs to grow a set of balls and fire his best friend. If he does that, then it will show that he really truly wants to win championships at Miami. He needs to man up and take a page out of Butch Davis' book, and fire his best friend. Until then, Miami will continue to be 8-4 and maybe a 9-3 season sprinkled in here and there.

For all of you idiots on here saying "The scheme starts with Golden, its his fault" please leave. The scheme itself is his call, but maybe if any of you who said that watched a single interview, he has been calling for tighter zone coverage, and perhaps more man coverage, because "It's the depth, it really is, the depth of our zones is killing us" teams have been slant and flare routing us to our depth. Coach D said, we need more depth, so who's the real dumbass? Coach D.

Our " Fans " have been the same for 50 years never showing up when we lose and barely showing up when we win. I have long since worried about attendance and also those who immediately call for someone's head. I have never been a coach so I won't give advise on how to fix things. I wish we attacked more like we used to but also realize the personnel and depth isn't there yet. I am as much concerned with the offense as they are 3 and out so often the D gets little rest as we are being killed in T O P

Maybe he should stop being a spectator and do something about it if he truly doesn't agree with the direction of the defense.

As long as he says it in interviews we are good? If that's the case then he really needs to fired for incompetent management.

Im gonna be upset when we lose to teams that we are better than. The FSU lose hurt, but i wasn't upset, I understood they are ahead of us. BUt Va Tech is a terrible team, **** Logan Thimas look like a Hiesman candate. Va TEch had 500 yds on the UM D! This unacceptable!

It would be an easier pill to swallow if we saw signs of this team improving. Instead we're watching some bad seniors get blown out while the recruits Golden brought in are nowhere to be found. This is no way to build a team.

This. The team gets worse every week, just like Coker and Shannon.

Its not just losing 2 games. Its letting teams run up and down the field on us with little resistance in Year 3. Is it too much to ask for improvement? ****, the defense was not this bad in Shannon's final years. So basically we have went backwards in terms of defense. I also saw a post showing the comparison between this and last year against common opponents and our defensive stats are worse this year against the likes of GT, FSU, VT, USF and UNC than it was when we fielded a team of freshman. So we are still going backwards under Coach D. I have seen enough of this bum. I don't care if we were undefeated, I would still want him gone.

This kid drove up to Tallahassee from the U without a ticket to the game and flashed this sign at Gameday. He was there last night, in the rain, cheering his heart out. Fans like him deserve a better defensive product.

He is still a fan; he's just disappointed like his dad.

Maybe we should do this, maybe we should do that. Gawd man how many years do we have to go over the same sh*t. Look, I agree Coach D isnt getting it done, but Al is NOT going to fire his DC in the middle of the season, when we are still 7-2 and technically still ranked. I mean we have a BRAND NEW OC this year, and if he fires coach D, we will have a NEW DC next year. You guys DO realize that continuity in coaching is one of the BIGGEST things that has hurt us during the last few regimes. As bad as Shannon and Coker were, things were made MUCH worse by the musical chairs among coordinators and staff so that players NEVER had the same coordinators for more than 2 seasons or so.

Great teams have guys that have been there a LONG time. Think Stoops or Strong at UF, Muschamp at Texas, Foster at VT, Im not saying we should have coordinators, ESPECIALLY substandard ones sitting here forever, but an HC HAS to take this into account. Weve spent 3 years moving to a 3-4 system, and now we sh*tcan Donoforio, and we have to start from scratch. That is GOING to cause us issues. So while I AGREE that Coach D has to go, the cavalier way guys here just act like its a NO BRAINER, and AG is a moron for not doing it right now, is totally childish and unrealistic. The HC has to factor what effect a radical change on Defense is going to have on his team, especially having just brought in a whole new OC this year.

Now what I think absolutely NEEDS to happen, and ASAP, we need to find a LB coach. I would take LB coach duties away from Donofrio ASAP. Our LBs are totally lost and do not look well coached. They are useless in coverage, even DP, and are either in the wrong place, or stuck in glue while the play passes them by.

Another thing is AG needs to sit down with Donofrio and say, "enough with the multiple sets and hybrid sh*t. PICK ONE and stick with it. Lets focus on the strengths of the guys we HAVE now. To me, that would be more of a 4-3. Porter and Robinson are MUCH better 4-3 guys, and so is Chick. Renfrow Im sure can adapt. I think this will also help the LBs just focus on a few areas of responsibility, instead of trying to remember which set they are in play after play.

And can we PLEASE at least have some common sense on how we bash the staff here? I mean these guys arent MENTALLY RETARDED. They see the same things we do. If Highsmith is still out there playing, why do you think that is? You think these coaches WANT to lose? The reason we have guys like Cornelius and Highsmith on the field, is because the guys behind them are obviously not getting it done. They may have more natural talent, but they probably have no clue what their assignment is on the defense, and as such, really dont do much for us. Because as much as we all want to believe that a guy like Jamal Carter is a superhero with his talent, if he's on the wrong side of the field when we are in a cover 2, and the other team burns our CB, were going to give up BIG plays.

All Im saying is, lets have a little perpective and common sense here. We have a serious problem on Defense, and some changes HAVE to be made, but all this AG sux if he doesnt fire Donofrio right now, and the coaches are all stupid because they keep letting so and so play, we are just VERY thin at some positions and our talent is NOT anywhere near where it needs to be. WE are still in the 98 Canes type era, not the 2000 ones. There is young talent here, but its going to take some time.

I posted the same thing in the gameday thread and got blasted. I totally agree. We are not quite back. I still support the team but some guys will never be satisfied unless we are winning by 5 tds every game. We are still a couple yrs away. We have talent but lack enough depth to play with the big boys and can't sustain if we make mistakes.... I really want to win but it will take time. I don't think we have the coordinators to win big games though. Coley and D'Anofrio do not have what it takes IMO to win at the major college level.
