Issues with coach Mike Rumph

I stand with Rumph a guy who is a Hurricane that put his body on the line for the legacy of the U!!!

I stand with Al Blades DJ Ivey Gil Frierson and Trajan Bandy who are part of the brotherhood!!

There's no reason to defend Rumph. Miami hasn't been getting 5* dbs since 2005 so nothing new. He signed 4-4* and a 3* CBs. That the best we've had since 2000. He's actually done better than we've done in some time. Now he's gotta develop these kids and work on getting the 5* dbs that's been so elusive for us when he's got a better resume. If he can't do those things he needs to seek shelter elsewhere.

It's all very objective.

Being an alum doesn't absolve Rumph. There is always room for improvement.

majority of the jibberish in your 2 paragraphs.

I bolded the parts for you
There was a time when I would expend a lot of energy and time eviscerating YOUR jibberish, but luckily for you, I have better things to do. I will leave you with this though, I write "YOUR jibberish" because a lot of what I wrote was pieced together/summarized from people whom I thought were more informed including a lot from you.....guess I was wrong. I'll take that L

maybe i came at you to raw. I agreed with some of your post though. The parts of them not realizing the tough pull and focusing on other available options. most definately. And caring about the LINES/TRENCH WORK. The bolded parts just strck a nerve with me becuase were going on 3 cycles and folks are still making excuses for one of the worst recruiters ive ever seen in my time following recruiting

its not similar results other then 2008 when p ulled all the booker t people Miami hasn't even scratched a top 10 class till richt got here. this is a class ranked top 7 or 8 in every service. Miami hasn't done that in a long time. and this is just the beginning its not same old same old the db class is one of best u can get despite misses the only issue I had is dline recruiting. I wish had more but 19 is loaded there in south florida and 18 was a weak year. this team is moving up people they won 10 games for first time in long time, they were top 10 ranked for first time in ages. that will help in long run if can keep it up and I think can.

I was surprised to see this class is ranked even higher then 2012

Miami is doing a fine job in sfla cant get them all....the staff needs to spend more resources traveling OOS after bigtime lineman....in the process...if there is a stud or two in the area at other positions ...check in on them as well....when those divas decide to jump ship...you might a have another stud ready to take their place... instead of being left in the cold at the end of the day...

Rumph's comments last year when we went 0-for-4 in head-to-head battles for South Florida DBs with Jim McElwain at UF:

Rumph after getting embarrassed in losing the Campbell & Surtain battles:

Rumph delivers quotes from the Al Golden playbook of consistently losing on the trail. Anyone defending Rumph at this point was likely a part of the Al Golden slurp squad until or near the bitter end.

Jesus those quotes, particularly this year, are downright pathetic. Guy is a lazy corch and that attitude says it all right there. Should be replaced.

I read how Pat Surtain, Sr. Was defending Rumph telling the fans to shut up, while sending his kid away from Rumph. I mean these guys arent dumb, they like Rumph personally but know hes a corch.

Why has every post that defends Rumph completely avoid the fact that anybody could have fallen into the DB class we got this year. The class was insanely loaded, we could have missed on our Plan A B and C and still landed a 4 Star. Also, Frierson is Gore’s cousin and Blades is a Blades.... I’ll give credit for Hall, that was a big pull but why do people keep making excuses?

Corch slurping is an illness, these slurpers cant help themselves. They’ll support corches until the bitter end, and then jump on the next guy hired. Rinse and repeat.

Anyone with half a brain on this site knew hiring Rumph was a disaster; go look up the thread from then.

I'll say this, Miami needs to win 11 plus games next season including the bowl. I would love to see us win the ACC, but we have to at least show we belong. If Miami can do this then I think we can close strong on the trail.

We need either Perry or Williams to emerge as the future. If either emerges next year we will either get to 11 and/or help lock down another elite class.

All in all we had an elite class last year, especially on offense, our problem was that we didn’t fully capitalize on what was on the table. We still took a major step forward from a very good 2017 clas. Kids want to play for a winner and we not only tanked at the end of the year but we also finished the year with a lame duck QB

Not excusing Rumph, but im going full blown conspiracy theory w TC the more time passes.

1. Bags were dropped. Ive been on this site for a while, and Ive never made the bag accusation in regards to a recruit we lost, so its not like this is a claim I make lightly.

2. He knew he was never coming to UM and he knew he was going to uGA since this summer.

3. I have no doubt Coley and co instructed him to not inform UM or Rumph that he wasnt coming to ***** uM recruiting at the posotion (although this issue still falls on UM imo).

Coley (FSU alum, fired by richt) has no love for UM, but he and Smart are terrified of a resurgent UM. They will do everything in their power to keep the giant sleep (ex: poaching Hartley).

Yes sir! With the way we finish and both players speaking about winning, we didn't convince them enough that we are on the up n up. Ty literally did the hand to forehead emoji after we loss to Wisc. We know UGA and others negative recruited the crap out of us. Leading onto the "Richt cant win meaningful games." Richt is going to have to get the monkey off his back and coach his tail off. We need 11-12 wins and if we can get into the playoffs, lookout. But honestly, there is still a lot of building and culture changing left to do. We are still playing catch up with facilities and having the IPF is going to be a major plus. There is a lot of criticism warranted right now and I am one who is also upset with how things went down, but we just have to keep grinding. We need some dominating wins this year. We need to keep kids like Bogle, Stevenson, and Ladson home. I'm really not worried about Ladson tho, Dugans is that dude.

I think you’re going to see huge changes in recruiting in the next couple of years because of the early signing days. It’s such a huge advantage joining the program in January vs the summer. I think you will see more programs focusing on having almost there entire class be EE and locked up by the December. These high schools that don’t allow players to participate in EE like AH are going to start losing out on these top players.
