Issues with coach Mike Rumph

Rumph just seems out of his league.

I understand why Richt took a risk on hiring him (former Cane & NFL player, good HS coach, young), BUT we're not established enought to be taking these risks.

Maybe Rumph can turn it around, but with missing on 0-4 Heritage kids, poor CB depth to begin with, and not much backup plan his seat has to already be hot imo.

We're also not even in it for Stanford Samuels, who is more talented than Bandy and Wilson.

POSC!!!!!!

Stanford Samuels??....you mean the FSU legacy lol. Look we only wanted Kai-Leon(who looks overrated) and Marco so he's "0-2" per say not 0-4

Quick Question if we somehow get Darnay Holmes who came down here on his own dime and the AH kids next year(we're actively recruiting every single one of them) would you guys still call for his head??

How bout if our CB unit plays head and shoulders better than units years past....you guys are getting upset about losing recruits in August.

You're right.

I mean how can I reasonably expect Rumph to recruit Samuels, an FSU legacy, if he can't even get Wilson to commit who is a Cane legacy and one of his ex-HS player.

I cant take this thread or OP serious, the guy got hired in January and already a talk about the bigger bust? LMAO gtfoh.

OK - maybe the comparisons to Nix are extreme. And after reading a few posts from you guys, sounds like I'm being an a** and need to at least give the guy a chance to to play a season. I just want to win and when I see us not getting the recruits that I know we need I get frustrated. I'm also tired of making excuses for missing on kids, we've been doing that for 10 years now, so that's why maybe I seem impatient. However - Rumph missing on all these kids makes me almost miss Paul Williams.

The field matters. Let's see.

That's all that matters.

I'm not all about getting a coach that gets hired for a few prospects from high school, and then ***** himself trying to catch up after the the newness wears off on the few big fish. That happens all the time, and rarely do those guys pan out.

Quite frankly, from a player standpoint, I'm not sure I would want to go play for a green DB coach right out of high school either, if given the chance to play for a more seasoned dude that has sent some guys to the NFL...tho no doubt there are other factor$ in many of these ca$e$.

If Rumph can find a way to do more with less this year, I think it will be very fair to judge him on the stellar 2018 DB class up next. JMO.

UM

Now we have posters comparing Rumph to Al Golden lol wow. I'd like to say I'm shocked by our fan base on this one but I'm not. It's embarrassing though that we are in full meltdown mode over a kid who hasn't started a game for his high school team going into his senior season, who's brother/family we recently screwed over, and plays a position that we have numerous commits at and more on the way. Comparing a position coach who hasn't coached a game yet to a truly awful OC and the worst head coach I've ever seen. Again, wow.

Truly amazing. It's August.

This is really comical at this point...man I am glad practice is starting cuz some people have nothing to do...

All that sh*t that was talked about his recruiting ability but you have to admit he has corn elder and Adrian Colbert playing at a very high level to say the least. His recruiting experience and success will come with more time. But I've been impressed with him at that spot

Rumph has done an exceptional job with the secondary as Corn has hit another level and Colbert's been as reliable as we can ask. He just doesn't seem like a good recruiter.
