He still shot over 35% during that period. That's not "couldn't hit anything", is it? And 6 games is WAY to small a sample size that was skewed by one bad game (1-10 to open the season) to draw any conclusions. Yes, he did have a rough patch. Like most shooters do. And like you pointed out, you don't get to pick and choose clusters of games if you really want to analyze his value as a shooter. He shot 41% on the year. Plenty good. DJ isn't an incredible shooter yet, but he is a pretty good one, and if he keeps working at his craft he can be elite IMHO. Personally, I'd like to see him get in better shape. JJ Reddick did that before his senior season and became a much more effective basketball player. I think DJ could do the same.
