Is Saturday a no-win situation for the staff?

Everyone is locked in at this point.

Changes will be made, or they won't. Profound, I know.

All we can do is watch, wait, and engage in circular arguments until something happens.

Saturday is a no-win situation, but it is also a must-win situation.

Maybe not for the season, but ****, for my sanity. Can't keep losing to UVA.

Not sure I agree with the no-win proponents. I don't think even a 100-0 drubbing of Virginia would wipe out what's gone on this season. However, if we see an effective change in the defensive scheme / philosophy that results in an improved defensive effort, it would be a win in my eyes as it would show that this coaching staff isn't totally clueless and is actually capable of coaching / game planning on this level. In other words, it would give me some hope for the future.

Win it, and the next. Go out "strong" so at least record wise it is good stat fodder for recruiting, and any other marketing momentum that can be mustered. Or mustard, whichever floats your boat.

Yesterday I went to the park and played some basketball. I was being guarded by this 9 year old kid. Guess what?

I took his *** to the hole. I hooped all over that nine year old kid. He couldnt guard me. I beat him with the jumper and I beat him off the dribble.

His mom was ****ed at me but the OP thinks it was a big win for me.

Let me put it this way, Miami could hold UVA/Pitt to 10 points or less combined and it wouldn't matter. We could have a dominating performance against College X in the Cruddy MaxiPad Bowl, it doesn't matter. The remaining season is a no win situation, just damage control.

With all that being said, I want to win our last 2 games. I want the kids to win the bowl game and have those extra practices for the first time in a long time. I want to finish strong in recruiting. This season is over due to our last 2 games, we're strictly in damage control mode.

Just win, recruit and move on.

No posting or texting me until a definitive move is made then. We can discuss the Bulls. That's it.

Pretty much. We win big, we just beat a team as bad as USF. We don't win or we eek out a win, and the fans will be outside the AD with pitchforks on Saturday night. What cannot happen is a USF style beatdown and then Golden talk to us like we're dumb, telling the media how we just beat a good football team and that we've turned a corner. That will **** me off beyond belief.

Will somebody please post where the mass hangings will take place. You guys are depressing the sh*t outa me.

Oh, and as bad as UVA is, and they are bad, they beat a good BYU team, and had Duke down 22-0 (Duke won 35-22) so they're more than capable of beating us even though they have no business being within 3-4 TDs of any competent team.

A good showing against a 2-8 team, on a 7-game losing streak, with the 110th total offense will not erase how poorly they've looked all season.

So to answer your question, yes.

VT was 100, so I hope our offense has over 40 left in their tank

Can't believe it's come to this. Miami worried about beating Uva and Pitt don't think we win either one. Duke loss hard to take. Finish year move on. Have great signing day. Start rebuild again.

it sure didn't have to be this way, but, it's got to be tough as **** when other teams respect your D line so much that they change their schemes. oh wait....

It's certainly a no win situation for the fans

I'd say a contract through 2020 is a can't lose situation
