Is Saturday a no-win situation for the staff?

I'm as frustrated with the defense as anyone, but is there zero chance for any credit at all this week? If we give up yards and points, we will be here calling for D'Onofrio to be cemented and dumped into the Miami River, and rightfully so.

But if we throw a shutout, get a few sacks, a few turnovers, etc., is the reaction going to be "big f'ing deal, it was Virginia"?

If so, some people might not want to watch, since there is no possibility of being happy with any result.

A good showing against a 2-8 team, on a 7-game losing streak, with the 110th total offense will not erase how poorly they've looked all season.

So to answer your question, yes.

You can count out any hope for a shutout. As far as sacks and turnovers are concerned, one can hope. I don't care how it happens, the Canes need to win this game. I'm gonna lose my **** mind.

I advise all to get the alcohol readily available... London will be undefeated against Miami, but will still be fired! Will find away to make this game and Pitt interesting.

If history tells us anything it's that London will win the game and save his job. How many coaches did Coker/Shannon save from firing?

No there is definitely a big win situation at stake here. For as bad as the defense is, the meltdown can get much worse and from a positive aspect we have two winnable games left that could get us to 9-3. Finish 9-3, finish strong on NSD and a bunch of the pressure will be alleviated for Al.

There's no more to be proven beating this shytbag uva team than there was proven beating usf. It's just another lowering of standards to even be thinking about this like anything other than a total walk over. This is the type of team you are SUPPOSED to murder in year 3 at UM. This uva team is complete horseshyt.

Beamer made his career against Miami. London's only wins are against us. Dukes win gave Cutcliff an extension. **** needs to stop! People need to wake up around here. 0-3 vs FSU 1-2 vs VT 0-2 vs VA 0-1 vs UMD 1-1 vs BC. This staf blows fat deek. And Swasey needs to take a hike!

My how things have changed with this program. Season is over. Virginia and Pitt can't save it.
