This is because they are obsessed with Randy and his “South Florida ties” and think they really put it to us by hiring, I mean “stealing” him. That fanbase is out of control. Don’t care what any other fanbase does, they will never reach the level of sensitive FSU fans.

Randy could recruit tho, just couldn't develop

He was nothing more than an average recruiter. And don’t “#1 class” me either there was like 35 recruits in that class.

I think he only recruited ok because we were still only a handful of years from being champs and the Miami brand, while fading was still strong in the late 00’s

Problem is Deon can recruit but big issue with him imo is just because he played football at a high level. I think he has trouble evaluating and he’s going off the 24/7 charts, you cannot just do that you have to be like Kirby and Nick and find those under the radars that are actually 5 star worthy but are rated 3 stars at the LOS. I think those two coaches are great at finding guys low on the charts that everyone over looks. They miss a lot which is part of the risks of picking any player but they hit more.

Prime has not proven he can recruit high school athletes. He got a couple top recruits and that’s it’s. Has not come close to sniffing top 50 while at Colorado. He seems super lazy when it comes to recruiting.

The only way I can see Nicholson even considering going back is if they give him a substantial raise along with DC duties. We definitely won't let him go without a fight either. He's apparently happy in Miami from everything I've read.

Idk he flat out gave up on recruiting on that last class… completely checked out when if he loved the school he would have fought to at least recruit to the bitter end to help set up the next man

That last class was indeed a disaster. I just have much larger contempt for the folks who ran the unAthletic Department and school at that time.
