Is Perryman going pro?

Wouldn't be surprised if he wants to see if our DC comes back or not. Wouldn't blame him in the least bit for moving on if the DC is retained.

No guarantee Perryman makes it in the NFL. CFL and arena league would be huge disappointments. He should stay in school and improve on his weaknesses.

CFL? Arena league? Kid is going to play in the league, just may not be drafted as high as many on here would think.

I really can't understand why any kid would waste another year in this scheme. Go to the pros, get some real coaching and get paid doing it. With the new rookie pay scale, there is less reason to wait to increase your draft stock.

I wonder if some of you are really canes fans or if you're gator fans in disguise. So it's not a good idea to finish school, improve your skills , and go higher in the draft? SMH.

The NFL isn't going to pay you millions of dollars to learn on the job, genius. You either contribute or you get cut , with no degree to fall back on. Leaving early is a big gamble. Yeah you could end up like Olivier Vernon who picked it up and looks like he'll be successful in the league. Or you could be like Marcus forston and get cut right after training camp.

Lots of people have kids in college. Lots of football players did it when I went to school there. Yeah it's hard but you get help.

Amazing isn't it. Canes "fans" sometimes just embarrass the **** out of me. It is not bad enough the board is flooded with childish nicknames like Dorito referring to one of our coaches, you have to try to make arguments on why our best players should leave early because you don't like the coaches?

I think he's gone. I've got nothing to base that on other than he has a kid and although he won't be a 1st/2nd round pick, he will guaranteed make a roster and earn a ~400k+ paycheck for years.

Hope not but wish him well if he elects to leave. One of the few bright spots these past couple of years, specially on the defense. ...remember when Dorito had 2nd thoughts on recruiting DP cuz of his size....smh

I don't remember this at all.

I remember it was on the boards. the rumor was that barrow had to convince Al and d to continue to recruit perryman bc they thought he was too small to play in this scheme. remember they want bigger lbs and coming out of hs perryman was more of your typical Miami lb

He had an average year. He'd be crazy to go pro. You can try to blame the "scheme" all you want but great players stand out in virtually any scheme and I dont think he did enough to warrant leaving early.
They both need each other.
And SMH and him having a kid.

Lol how are u gunna judge another man or negatively comment on him having a kid it's not your business lol? And I guess an average year is 105 tackles and 1st team ALL ACC gtfoh and stop being a hater because the kid might want to leave a school you root for. He's got a family to take care of if he comes back cool if not good luck and thank you for playing your *** off for 3 years and choosing to play for us under sanctions when he could of chose to play at FSU or UF.

slow down ...all good points. Denzel has responsibilities to his new family, that also means making good decisions and making good decisions is listing to his coaches and the NFL advisory board and seeing what his projections are, we are not talking about a first round guy here by any means, but with a solid combine and pro day he could get into the 3rd round....that is all down the road, we have him for one more game in my mind..
I wish him well , hope he stays but wish him well...as we all should,...having a kid is not the only reason he should bolt for the nfl....

That's not really accurate. Olivier Vernon would have had to have gone in the top 18 picks to triple his money. And he's probably the only one of those kids that could actually come close.

serious question:

whose first three years was better? Spence or Denzel?[/QUOT

Spence was a beast his frosh year 100 tackles

hurt his second 30 tackles

3rd year 100 tackles +

yes he stayed 100+ tackles missing a game from suspension

Denzel
frosh 68 tackles
soph 64..hurt a ton
jr 100+ tackles

he is still leaving I assume....sean was a 3rd round guy, DP will be late 3rd to 4th at worst
