Is Njoku going first round?

Take off the orange and green glasses....he will be lucky to go on higher than 5th round. Dont get me wrong....kid has potential but what team is going to spend a high draft pick on a guy a TE that doesnt block, hands are suspect, route running is questionable....

Njoku will look great at the combine, there's only one problem: His film, and his physical ability don't match. Compared to compete tight ends like Jake Butt at Michigan, Njoku looks like an athlete pretending to play the position. Njoku isn't a good blocker, he fights the ball when he catches it, and has a ton of drops. He has the opportunity to be a no doubt 1st round TE if he comes back, at this point, he's hoping that someone at the bottom of the first round takes a chance on him. The difference in money is huge, especially when you look at how short the typical NFL career is.

From what I remember, Jimmy Graham had some drops issues at Miami as well.

But we can all see how that got straighten out in the NFL.

I see Njoku heading down the same path, with more experience

Fundamental difference between Jimmy and Njoku: Jimmy was playing his first year of college football. Njoku is TWO YEARS IN, and he still has these issues. He also has two years of eligibility remaining, he would be best served coming back and putting together a dominant year. Jimmy didn't have that option, and if you were to ask him, he would have wanted that, because not having that additional film probably cost him some serious money in his first contract.
