Is Njoku going first round?

LOL at a few of these comments. 3rd round is the best he would do this season. Now when he comes back he will be top 20 pick . I have little concern about him leaving to be honest. Kaaya is the only one who might leave and I would put money on him coming back. Yearby is gone but that is for different reasons .

Njoku will probably play wr in the nfl. Funchess out of michigan a couple of years ago was a wr that moved to te. The panthers drafted him and moved him back to wr.

Funchess is no where near the athlete njoku is and i think whoever drafts him will move him outside. Likely will ask him to drop 20 pounds.

IMO I think he should stay and polish his skills, but he's gone and I don't blame him.

With the season he is having, and what he'll do at the combine, He'll be a 1st-2nd round pick

From what I remember, Jimmy Graham had some drops issues at Miami as well.

But we can all see how that got straighten out in the NFL.

I see Njoku heading down the same path, with more experience

Easily 1st tight end off the board next year. I don't know where that puts him, but he's gotta go first.

Would be a shock Imo if he stayed. Only positive is we can Sell early PT to McKitty now.

think he could go in the 25-50 range easily, hes going to workout really well. game is raw but someone will find his talent too much to pass on

as far as the program, we'd be ok with Herndon until Haskins/Lil Irvin are ready. hes a more sound player just not as dynamic

There's zero chance he lasts past the second round. He could make it into the later half of the first round.

Him playing out wide is actually a huge positive with regards to his draft potential. That shows versatility and that's the way NFL GM's will look at it. TE's that can block and then release are a dime a dozen. He may need some improvement blocking, but you can't teach his versatility. Hands aren't the best either, but they're good enough.

When everyone was saying AQM, Coley, or Kaaya had the best chance to go high in the draft I said Njoku. Guy will be a stud next level.

His main issue isn't the obvious inconsistency with drops. Instead, it's that he hasn't really shown the ability to be a great inline guy. Perhaps some teams will project that out of him, but right now you take a look at last year's top TE, someone taken in the 2nd round, and he was known for great run blocking. While a lot of teams split their TEs out, they still want both abilities (inline vs split).

We'll see what grade he gets back and this is a situation most likely to change over the next 6 weeks.

story coming now but he's definitely leaning towards leaving according to multiple sources
