Yes?
Is this offer actually a thing? I fill like I'm being Rick Rolled.Yes?
I am pretty sure 99% of centers who play D1 football don't have offers from Ivy League schools. This is not a requirement nor does it make ANY difference at all when it appears that centers seem to be more than smart enough to play the position without these offers. Seems like a justification by fans for the offer. If this was UF or FSU making this offer, it would be on the UF and FSU tears threads without question.
As was already pointed out, this young man camped at Rutgers and NC State and did not walk away with an offer. Not good enough for them, but good enough for us? And before we get all emotional and spit out the typical, "I will trust Mario and Mirabal and OL evals", please remember, that not to long ago when we secured the committment of OL Plazz, so many here were quick to point out that NC State offered, and they know a thing about OL.
This appears to be a reach to me at this point if this offer is committable. Nobody is beating down this kids door or fighting over his verbal at this time. You can establish a relationship, but no need to rush and make this offer one that the young man can commit to at this time.

Still mad about Lou, huh?
Is that your best best? Didn't feel the need to write a novel this time?
No but a kid I continued to hear was really special, a teammate, and in the classroom. Can never hurt a team to have a kid like this. I’ll watch him in a month. Yale Harvard all the brain schools were after him.Windsor, CT. Any TVD connection?
All that is fair. It's also irrelevant. Like it or not, we offered. Speculating on how that will turn out is fine.. but again, irrelevant.I am pretty sure 99% of centers who play D1 football don't have offers from Ivy League schools. 5 Ivy League offers is impressive any way you look at it. Let us know what you see.No but a kid I continued to hear was really special as a stupid, a teammate, and in the classroom. Well that's not very niceNo but a kid I continued to hear was really special as a stupid, a teammate, and in the classroom. Can never hurt a team to have a kid like this. I’ll watch him in a month. Yale Harvard all the brain schools were after him.
Maybe I’m missing something but I’d rather have a mauler at center instead of a brainiac? Not sure if brains can help you if a 335lb nose tackle is coming at your neck? I mean how many centers in football are wizards lol. It’s simple protection and identifying where pressure is coming from, it’s not a math equation.
His film is decent I guess but the offer list isn’t relatively close to anything desirable. Connecticut has some solid football but also some complete trash. No shot you can spin Ivy offers, FCS/D2 and FAU as a good list.
You see right there, thats where u wrong. Because its not why NC State and Rutgers didn't offer him so why should we. No its we offered him, and NC State and Rutgers gonna ask why didnt they? Thats the order. Bama basically on the trail offering OL, soon after we do. No coach gets every eval right. When it comes to OL, Our staff is not taking a back seat. But is the wonderlic a sure fire thing? Marino and Jim Kelly both scored a 15...and Ryan Tannehill scored a 34...so which would you rather have?Center is usually the OL who is making all the line calls (doesn't have to be but it's almost always the case). Quick thinking and recognition is very important.

A look at the history of the test and what the scores meanwww.cbssports.com
OTs and Centers both average higher Wonderlic scores than QBs. Surprising.
