Interesting ticket numbers

Hey any improved is great to see. The tide is turning, unless the NCAA pulls some bull **** we will have packed houses 70 percent of the time within 2 years.

We didn't even have this during our great run in early 2000s.
If it wasn't FSU, VT, or Washington the place was empty.

thank you. people seem to think that the oB was packed every game. even in the 01 season, miami would have to run bring ur kids for free day for the troy st game bc they couldnt ask pppl to spend 25 bucks on a ticket to see troy st. its all based on the opponent even if miami is good. when were good again, well see more ppl at the games but it wont be near sell outs every home game. we never had that before and we wont have that now

Usually, but not always. We had 65,000 for East Carolina in '03, we had 68,000 for BC in '02, we had 68-70 for FAMU in '02. There are other examples, but usually the only big attendance games were FSU or VT.

Didn't Miami average 60k in 2002? I'm pretty sure we did.

we did average 60k that year but remember thats coming off a national championship so the number will be higher than normal. also the BC game was a pretty big game bc of the game the year before (ed reed strip and return).

Best we've ever averaged was around 60k I believe, and that was a year with a championship contending squad and an attractive home schedule. Lets beat that.

also that was coming off a national championship as well

interesting to see that in the 01 season, we averaged 46k fans a game and that was coming off a 1 loss season that ended w a win in nola.

We also played an unattractive schedule in '01. That shouldn't matter since that was one of the best teams in college football history, but that's Miami fans for you. Only sellout was Washington. We had 59,000 for #13 Syracuse. After that, we had a decent crowd for a monsoon Thursday night game against a bad West Virginia team. We had bad crowds for Troy State and Temple (in the 40,000s) and 39,000 for Rutgers, which would have been higher, but was played in a tropical storm.

2002 was coming off of a national title, but also had FSU, VT, FAMU (who brings 15,000+ to games).
