Winning and high draft picks is our way towards top classes. Everything else will always be secondary. Kids see 3 and 4 players being drafted in the 1st round at a school it peaks interest. You are right and it was a thread on 2023, but the other poster and I went on a slight offramp about mobility between the recruiting tiers. I think this is why so many of these southern schools are worried, and trying to nip this in the bud by preventing Miami from joining the SEC, for example. (Listen to Manny Navarro's podcast yesterday where the Gator beat writer admitted that Florida would not want UM in the SEC). Good (or great) Miami and USC teams are a problem for the current southern power structure in college football.
