Don't really care about this kid. Don't wish ill will, but I hope either Duke makes him eat dust or someone lays him on his ***.
All this talk about Matthew Thomas being level headed and mature right now needs to go out the window. This kid is inconsistent even on one interview.
- He talks about not being able to trust Miami coaches because of Kirkland's situation, then does the almost exact same thing to Kirkland. If these guys are workout buddies, then I'm sure he could've texted or tweeted DK he wasn't going to USC. Hypocrite.
- He talks about not trusting the Miami coaches but strung them along for the ride when he knew he wasn't going there
- He probably was a silent, probably told Coley that he was FSU all the way, and felt Coley probably outed him to AG. He then hides behind DK's situation as a reason to not commit to Miami. At 17 yrs old. I wasn't as big as this kid, but **** I wasn't no ***** either. I told it straight up
- He was isolated, didn't like social media pressure, and succumbed to mommy. Good luck kid, but you need to grow up. Get ready for Tally, where you ARE the star, you'll get pressured and thrown under the bus if you don't perform. At Miami or USC, there's Kobe, Lebron and other detractors that will diffuse the attention.
Matthew Thomas may be a stud, but I'm not mad. He would've made some difference here, but there are talented kids who could potentially make an impact every year. After reading this, you respect a kid like AC more who went with his gut and stuck with it. He didn't need to bash Miami or anything.
