Interesting detail with Norvell's buyout

I understand that they're having an all-time bad year, but realistically, it wont be that bad next year.

They'll hit the portal and get some more guys.

If they had got ANY QB other than DJU, they wouldn't be in this situation.

They'll bounce back. The NIL era allows next-year rebounds.
Not with the recruits, they have waiting in the wings, or lack there of recruits. Their only good players on defense are all leaving this year to the draft and they have no one to replace them with on the roster. You can’t build a consistent winner in the portal and if you don’t believe me, just look at FSU this year or Michigan State a couple years ago. You can catch lightning in a bottle here and there, but if you don’t recruit high school football at an elite level., Winning consistently isn’t gonna happen for you. And Recruiting high school is something FSU hasn’t done. So will they be this bad next year, no but they’ll still be bad.

Yeah and I think they will. They're invested in the program and aren't going to fire Norvell.

Plenty of GUARANTEED starting spots available along with NIL cash.

I think they're back to 6-6 next year.
And your problem here is, they don’t have any NIL cash. their NIL program is bush league. The whole point is they don’t have big money to buy top-notch players, FSU is broke.

WTF.

Mike Norvell is in YEAR 5. Imagine if Mario is 1-7 in year 5. We'd all have legit questions of what the "bleep" he was doing on the recruiting trail if you have built no foundation whatsoever for sustained success.

This ain't a blip. It's not just a QB. This is a systematic failure. And this is coming on the heels of 2 10+ win seasons. That should have led to some really good classes and really good young players.

Objectively speaking, where is the talent on the rest of that roster? That roster does not seem like a one player fix to me.
