Interesting comment by Titans

So either they consider cam generational or its travis. Either would be a good pick imo

I honestly don’t like the titans situation for cam, i rather the giants or raiders, maybe someone like the steelers trade up
Honestly I forgot the draft order because I thought this was a done deal….I’m not feeling the Raiders as I think Shedeur is a better fit so they can hire Prime as HC, I’m okay with the Giants, would LOVE the Steelers to draft Cam but that’s a moonshot dream, hate it for Cam if he falls to the Browns, like the Jets better than Browns but not a fan of the org leadership.

If I’m a betting man, I see the Titans selecting Cam Ward

The only way the Titans don't draft QB (Cam imo) is if they get a haul from another team.

The leadership said they have a vision of making 30 picks over the next three years, with 12 being in the top 100.

The '26 draft will be much worse for QBs. Unless the Arch hype is real.

I mean, it's January. Lot's of things can happen till then.

Tons of teams have needs for a QB and all Top 3 teams could use a draftpick. It's up to the Titans to decide whether they want to keep sticking to Levis or not.

But if I see Carter or Hunter going to 4, I either celebrate and thank every team for not doing the obvious or get really angry because the Pats didn't take either of them.

So, other than the fact that Cam played at Miami, what makes him “generational?” Other than the fact that he’s a QB, why should he go number 1?

As a life long Titans/Oilers fan I'd love them to stick and pick Ward. But I'd almost guarantee that they're dying for the Giants to fall in love with Ward or Sanders so they can trade out of #1. I'll honestly be surprised if draft day hit and they're still picking first.

Are you just trying to be a contrarian? The gist of the post it’s about the statement the Titans made and that they are likely not referring to Cam.

Travis Hunter is a great player. Anyone who says different is just mad because they are fans of Ward, or Sanders, Jeanty, etc…
Hunter deserves to be a top 5 pick. My memory is that Deion was drafted 3rd by the Falcons. I think Deion in college was slightly better as a CB, and Hunter is better as a WR.

All that being what it is, it is basically impossible to have sustained playoff success in the NFL without a great QB. Just look at the conference semifinals; Goff, Hurts, Stafford, Daniels, Jackson, Allen, Stroud and Mahomes.

Now name 5 DB’s who played without looking up the names. Right or wrong, the NFL is completely a QB league. As such, Ward and even Sanders, have more organizational value than Hunter, despite how great he is.
I swear if Travis was a Cane doing the same thing he did at Colorado, the conversations here would be completely different

I’m simply asking a question for those who believe that Cam is generational and worthy of the number one pick.

I get that they are probably playing chess before the draft comes up, but if they aren't then don't pick Cam because he deserves an owner thats gonna give him a chance.

I'm surprised (not really) that people don't realize this.

Pre-draft, combine & leading up until the draft, any public statement made by GM's of teams drafting in the top 5 mean absolutely nothing.

GM's, scouts, front office personnel etc, will purposely create the idea that they like a particular player even if they have no intentions on drafting them. It's called gamesmanship.
But they don’t need to have a smoke screen if they have the number one pick if they know they want somebody and aren’t gonna move. The fact that they’re willing to say this probably is more of an indication that they might actually be open to trading down.

Travis Hunter is not even worth a RD 1 pick IMHO, let alone R1P1.

Stop this insanity.

I wish him well, but do not believe he will be a meaningful 2d contract contributor to any team.
This isn’t about what you think, though dude. Most of the NFL draft analysts have said that both Cam and Sanders wouldn’t be the first quarterback or even the fourth quarterback off the board if they were there last year. We may not agree with that, but that’s what they are saying and the only one they even use things like generational around is Travis. You’re putting up a strawman here as opposed to what is actually being said by most analysts whether they are on crack or not.

That's kinda exactly what a smokescreen is, give the impression that they could be interested in trading in order to see what & how much they could get.

Look muppet.

Every porst by every porster is about what you + me + what everyone else thinks.

Up your meds and think before you ink.

Yes but if you have no desire to trade out you wouldn’t care. I get the concept. No one was smoke screening in other years when the 1st pick team clearly needed a Qb and the Qb was consensus the best player available. If giants had landed #1 pick I doubt they would even be playing that game. Could be wrong
