Injury Updates

We need Scott back now if Dorsett is going to be out. If Duke isn't serious, sit him next week anyway and let him get 100% for FSU.

Dorsett wanted to come back but the trainers wouldn't risk it . He was I. Tears cause he felt fine . Sprain IMO but **** what do I know
 
PD WALKED to the back. you dont walk well with a acl tear. sprain maybe. scott should be back soon though right?

I saw this too. I thought he might even come back in the game as he was talking to Al. It looked like he was shaking his head that he was alright.

He was actually just telling people that he saved 15% by switching to Geico.



On a serious note, it looked like a hyper-extended knee. But I'm no M.D. with no rays/mri done so we'll see what those reveal.

You can walk with an acl tear (from personal experience). The only way to know if it is torn is by MRI. The question should be "did you feel something stretch and tear?"
 
I was at the game behind the Miami bench and PD looked fine to me. He came out after halftime without crutches and was walking perfectly normally. He was going around high fiving everyone and didn't look like he was in much discomfort at all. Later on the second half, I saw him on crutches, but it looked to me like it was something the trainers made him do as a precaution.
 
1. You can walk with an ACL tear.
2. A proper physical exam can strongly support if not diagnose an ACL tear. MRI will be confirmatory.

Also yep. Positive Lachman's test or drawer testing for mobility.

FSU had a pitcher (Blair Varnes?) pitch against us in the College World Series finale with a torn ACL.

Thought I had read that Damien Berry played some of his HS football with a partially torn ACL as well.
Fmr. Marine I worked for years back walked the warehouse nightly for 14 hours/night with a torn ACL. Finally had it repaired after about a year.
