Importance of SQUAD17 to FUTURE

No chance in **** Perry beats out Allison. His film is a bit underwhelming. I was much more impressed with weldons tape and really hopes he sticks. I'm not saying I don't like perry, but the way you guys pump him up around he you would think the kid is the next best thing since sliced bread.

Well that's the great thing about competition. Doesn't matter what we think.

I love Kaaya and think he's Def a #1 draft
Pick. I'm just not convinced it's going to be the 2017 draft. Some canes fans have it written in stone that Kaaya is gone after 2016. That couldn't be further from the truth. He's got a lot to prove to make himself a top 10 pick, which I think is the only was he leaves. We will know after the 4th or 5th game if he's progressed enough and will be leaving.

But if he stays for 2017, I think we have a legit shot at making the final 4 playoffs. That would give him 2 years with all of these new 2016 WR plus another one with Njoku and Cager. Plus whatever talent Richt brings in for #squad17

I have seen draft predictions with Kayaa going at number 5 in first round. Would love to see him return but with a good year he will be gone.

Depends on what type of year he has, but the tools are certainly there.

I think people look at Brad's intangibles first because he's such the prototypical QB type. Definitely brings an old school, Unitas/Brady/Manning approach to the position.

For me, it's the tools that jump off the screen. Very good arm strength though not spectacular. Excellent ball placement. Great ability to add and subtract on his throws to fit it in tighter windows. Insane anticipatory skills. Also a better athlete than given credit for.

Kaaya is gonna be an NFL draft pick and it will be in the first round. My only question is if it will be 2017 or 2018 draft. I still believe he has a lot to prove to become a top 10 pick this season. If he has taken a big step forward then he'll leave this year. However, if it is widely believed Kaaya may be a late 1st round pick or early 2nd, I believe his family advises he return for his senior season where he can be the #1 overall pick in 2018 draft and at worst a top 5 pick. So time will tell.
But I do not write in stone that Brad Kaaya is gone after this 2016 season.

Draft analyst have been wrong sooooo many times in pre-season draft predictions.Especially at the QB position. So don't want to hear what draft analyst say before the season.

Been following the site for years but I'm a new poster. Any advice on how to reply directly to a certain poster. Every post I make seems to go directly to the bottom without quoting the person I'm responding to. Thanks guys

If Kaaya has great season, wins a bunch of games, he shouldn't return.

He's actually one the least athletic QBs in college football. His lack of athleticism is alarming and probably the only thing that would give NFL teams pause about selecting him high in the 1st.

Brad is definitely not mobile in the least. Matter of fact I think we miss some plays where if he could have bought himself an extra second or two we could have hit some big plays. When they call Brad a "pocket passer" they sure as **** mean it

I agree. Kaaya is good don't get me wrong. I love him. But top overall pick good??! Not so sure about that. He'd have to make major strides this year for me to call him a top 10 #1 type talent at QB position.

NFL draft analysts say otherwise...

Brad will eventually get his day on stage with Roger Goodell. Just not sure it's the 2017 draft. If Brad does come back for the 2017 season, the possibility of a Canes final 4 appearance Is REAL.

If Weldon sticks, he will be the next good QB we have. Perry will be holding clipboard if he sticks. Allison, jo chance to be a big time D1 QB. I for one hope we can hold onto Weldon when the big offers come after his sr year.

Hasn't stopped Tom Brady

Whoa let's not mention Brady and Kaaya in same sentence. But nobody is saying it will stop kaaya from success. Just pointing out a weakness. We all love Brad. Hope he stays 4 years.

Glad we have the depth to debate this but no way either Jack or Cade is gonna beat out Perry. Should be nice battle but in the end Perrys ball protection and ability to run will be the difference maker.

But getting back to the 2017 class- I'd love McFarland, Burns, Felix at RB with Jeudy dingle and Rodney Scott at WR. Who else should we add to that group!? What RB and WR are must gets? At QB we stocked with Perry and Weldon. DeeJay Dallas is a must get who does everything? At LB I love Steed and we need Wilder bad. Who else would u add here? We don't need too many LB as it is already crowded. Brini would be a dream and already have Gibson on deck. How would u prioritize CB and Safety. Great start on off line with Donaldson. And Jonathan ford on Def. Give me your next best priorities in order

I'd would be happy with a WR class of:
Jerry Jeudy
Kevaughn Dingle
Leroy Henley
Deejay Dallas(like him at safety better)
Shawn Smith
Evidence Njoku(maybe TE)

DB class:
Shawn Davis
Latavious Brini
Chris Henderson
Marco Wilson
Juwan Burgess
Billy Gibson

LB Class:
Ventrell Miller
Waynmon Steed
De'Andre Wilder

RB Class:
Anthony McFarland jr
Robert Burns
Darrian Felix
