IMG was losing because they kept throwing picks, CC couldn't score early against (timid looking) IMG's defense. Second half, IMG gave up on the passing game and just pounded the ball. CC's QB was throwing alot of terrible passes but he is a freshman (or Soph)

Grayson is going beat IMG next week. It will probably be the last GA team to ever play IMG as the GHSA is working on adopting rules so member schools can not play schools like IMG. IMG recruited 4 players from Gwinnett County last year. It would be nice if FHSA would adopt similar rules.

Only thing holdinh CC back from a state title is trenches play & i heard they improved that this year, them vs cent gome be the game of the year down here

So the can stop taking kids from their state...How would you feel if you devoted your time and effort into helping the development of a kid in one of the most crucial phases of their Football career, just to have another coach come and wave money in his face and take him away. Now the guy who was supposed to be a team captain this year is gone and everyone that looked up to him is de-motivated. It also takes talent out of the community and makes it harder for those teams to win with the people in their backyard, which is usually what makes high school football enjoyable...seeing my hood play against yours, or my hood play against Atlanta Georgia's hood. Not "who can I get" vs "who you can get". I hate the idea of super teams because it ruins the diversity in sports. Teams like STA isn't helping either.

St Thomas and IMG would not be able to do what they do in GA. Milton had the number one basketball team in the country in 2011 because they recruited and the GHSA put them on probation.

What these teams in Florida are doing is bad for high school football and shows the like of ability of the FHSA to manage its member schools.
Either way Grayson is going to beat IMG next week and Deerfield Beach later in the season. Colquitt County is going to play American Heritage pretty close but they lost a lot of players from last season's state championship team.

Grayson's top players might just be better than what any team in Florida has 1-5 I mean they got jamyest Williams(top 50 CB), deangelo Gibbs (5 star safety), tony gray top 100 Overall OT( by the way not going to uga so we might have a shot), tru Thompson no 2 dt in 2018, chase Brice 4star Clemson commit just to name a few players they have.

I know some people are still a little salty about IMG recruiting tactics but they will go to GA next week and beat Grayson. IMG's defense will only get better ask Dingle about #10. Did you see that stick?
And two things:
This is the new era of HS football so you may as well get use to it. STA and the like have been doing it for years and all IMG has done is taken it to another level by recruiting across the country. Even inner city schools do it by recruiting kids from each other.
Most power houses are upset because they usually are the only school in the entire county or city. Like ASTCLOUD 11 said, it use to be your hood school against my hood school. But hood schools have two major problems zoning - kids being bused out of the community across town and then you have kids dropping out before HS. Both of these issues rarely affect power house schools because they usually have a feeder system that keeps the schools loaded with talent consistently year after year. The schools that benefited from this advantage didn't say a word until now because small hood schools could never come into their communities and still their kids, if they tried then they would use the zone rules to fight it. Schools like IMG have found a loophole to go into these areas and compete with them for their kids. So now they are fighting the same fight that hood schools faced but the only difference is state HS commissions are making up additional rules on the fly to keep their kids home.

2 things.
1. IMG is not beating Grayson, this Grayson team is better than the one that wrecked Miami Central 4 or 5 years ago.
2. Neither IMG or STA could recruit like they do if they were in GA, and once states start passing rules against playing these schools you will see it stop. It wouldn't surprise me if the NCAA doesn't eventually get involved, and that will happen if the wrong HS coaches get upset.

Is this Grayson team better than the 2013 Booker T Washington team that beat the defending GA state champion Norcross Blue Devils 55-0?

Sorry but not going to be able to sell me on a system to protect adults and not kids.
Kids should be able to play football wherever they want. MNW, Central, and BTW have all had national teams in the last 10 years despite being "hood schools". Actually what IMG does is cleaner than STA. At least they arent competing for other "regular schools for state titles.
If a kid has a chance to better himself I dont think there should be rules to stop it.
I do not really follow Georgia but my guess is football schools in Florida just do it better. Wheeler HS just recruited two nationally ranked kids from other states. Seems Georgia is recruiting. Pebblebrook recruits like crazy as well.

Yes it has more talent. Norcross that year had Alvin kamara( best of the bunch), Lorenzo Carter, Chris Herndon, Myles autry, aj bush and a bunch of other d1 players but truth of the matter is that this Grayson team this year is on another level in terms of total elite talent

Kamara graduated the year before they played booker t.
This Grayson team is supposedly the largest collection of talent ever at one hs in Georgia. Doesn't always mean anything, though. Colquitt county has been wrecking **** with a 1/4 of that talent. IIRC, Grayson just hired Camden county's coach, who used to run the double wing/wing-t, right?

It doesn't better the kid to transfer to schools like IMG or STA. If anything it gives him an ego that becomes an issue in college. Both Wheeler and Pebblebrook are public schools so I am not sure what they have to offer by having a recruit move to their district. Neither one of these schools is very good. Pebblebrook got wrecked in their scrimmage a week ago, they couldn't move the ball. I don't have issues with a kid moving to better themselves or if a parent wants to better their kids. The issue is when a private school offeres scholarships for these kids to play football. It isn't like they are offering the 3rd string center for Coral Park or top academic kids for BTW, MNW, etc. They are offering kids because of their football skill.
