Hate to break it to you guys but Morris is our best option. Not sure we score in the 1st half without him, Williams simply couldn't make those throws to Hurns. Our WRs don't get great separation, personally I'm not a huge fan of our route schemes.
2nd half was a combo of awfulness. Morris was bad, Walford was bad, WRs weren't getting separation and when Coley did Morris threw late once and Coley dropped a TD on the other.
Guess ill get labeled as someone swinging on Morris' nuts
Williams doesn't have to thread the needle to Hurns, as Williams would likely take what the defense left open - by the way - which was considerable. The only reason Morris has two or three miracle throws per game, is that's all he's got. That's it. He's good for two or maybe three unbelievable throws.
The five yard stuff? Ain't gonna happen. The drags over the middle? Nope. Screens? Not once. Hitting rb's out of the backfield? Nope, throws over their heads, behind them, or in the dirt.
The plays called - reflect the very limited QB we have. Drags, screens, anything between the hash marks, and quick hits over the middle are out.
So what does that leave?
